My hubby is a tattoo addict. It's not a joke, he has 12 already and said that he is no where close to being half way done. Now he is talking about getting a back peice. Well he already has so many on his arms. Don't get me wrong he has some really cool tattoo's. Yet he is also talking about getting more done on his arm. He said that by the time he is done that he is going to have sleeves on his arms. To me that is way too much ink. I keep telling him that he needs to think about whether or not he will always have a job that don't mind so many tattoo's. With me I only have 3 tattoo's. I am going to get 4 more and then I am done. Because I think too many tattoo's can be very unatractive. I have one on the back of my neck for job purposes if I get a job. One on my arm because it will be covered and one on my calf becasue if I get the right kind of job it will too be covered. Shouldn't people think about jobs before getting tattoo's that are visible? What are your opinions on this topic?

I don't know. I guess it is up to each individual person. Personally, I don't care for tattoos (unless it is the temporary kind) so to me even one is too many. But I think I can see what you are saying. Because if one wants a job in a professional setting they better look the part, otherwise they may not be taken seriously. So being able to hide them under clothing is something people should consider before getting any tattoos.

Yes they should consider on rather or not they can be covered when looking into a professional job. I know my hubby might get hired at the chool this year so it will be interesting, because even if he is being hired as a genator they still have to look decent. I like to have all my tattoo's be hidden for the job purpose.

I think that you can never have enough. I am working on a backpiece and I have my knuckles done. I also have a few on my arms, 14 in total all over my body. I hope one day that all jobs will accept the tattooed nation. We are getting pretty big, you know.

Hello. I agree that we are getting pretty well big now days with tattoo's. I also do believe that jobs all over should allow people to work whether or not if we have tatttoos. I know when I use to work at the Salvation Army we had to cover any and all tattoo's that we had. So I was glad that I started getting visible ones when I quite the job. Have fun getting the backpiece.

i think when you have 3 tatoo they are enough!!so may be one it cna be ok but when a person wwant much tatoos on his/her body is not so good even from a appearences too!!
So in reality i think people should consider also the kind of job they must do..many companies asking people if they ahve tatoo and if yes normally it would bea problem to take some jobs especially if it is a job of responsability or pire where you have custumer contacts directly!!I think tatoo nowadays is a kind of lux not a real expression and not for all people!!

That is the big point now days. When I was working we had to wear pants and a t-shirt, so I had my first one done on my leg because then it was covered. At that time I was working at a thrift store. I figure this way it is covered and people could not see it.

Well here is my opinion on it. To me if you have tatts all over you than I think you might have some issues. But if they are in some discreet places and are not all over than I feel that is okay. But I want to say this about it too if your hubby feels okay about how many he has and he pays his bills on time and it is not effecting your family than I guess it really does not matter. Take care and happy mylotting to you.

Well you got a very good point here. It don't affect the family thank goodness. Only because he uses some of our tax return for it. I just hope he will stop nagging me about not having enough. To me I am not that nutty to get tons. I do want to have a lot of my skin visible and not have it all covered up art.
