I was reading an article and I want to ask this question do you think teenage mothers are capable to be responsible enough to take care of children at such a young age. or do you think because of there age they are more selfish, neglectful, and immature? Do you think it would be right for child protection agencies to step in and take custody of a teenage mother's child until she turned 18? Because there are the mothers who see getting pregnant as a wake up call and turn there life around and there are those mothers who are neglectful and don't care. Are there any mother's who were or are currently a teenage mother what do you think?

Hey,
Yes I think that it is totally fair ONLY if the person isn't fit to take care of the child. As long as she can at least maintain the child and grow it, then it is okay. But if they can't take care of the baby, I think it is a good idea. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I work for a child protection agency and I don't think that we would have to take care of those children because some teenage mothers do have a strong enough support system to care for the child. As for being neglectful it happens at all ages it does not matter. I think a person should have to pass a test to have a child but I know that will never happen. The fact is that some people can do and others can't I have seen both sides of it, there is no clear cut answer.
