I have a friend send me a CD recently. He told me that the music in the CD is so-called sleep music, meaning you can listen to it and fall asleep. My friend have some sleep problem, he can't fall asleep at night, it took him 2 hours to fall asleep.
The music in the CD sound very nice, but i am kinda of people that can't sleep with noise/sound around me, i appreciated his kindness, but i don't think i can't fall asleep with the music going on.
Can you?

I agree. Once you get into the music, you don't want to sleep anymore.

I want to sleep without music or sound at all. i want the room quiet and dark. And its also appreciated by my husband too. But i had an experience sleeping with the radio on when im still living with my friends. She cant sleep with a radio on and so i just let her to switch it on till morning. I easily adjusted to that.
But now that i am living alone, i am sleeping without sound. i think its the best way for me because i am sleeping better now.
I am not against to the people who cant sleep without sound. I respect that its part of them.
Happy mylotting and smile always!

I can sleep with or without music even with noise is around. As long as i feel sleepy and more when i am tired. I sleep immediately and I do not care even the volume of sound is loud. I think I am used to it and learn to adjust to it. I also fall sleep easily listening to sweet melody and if the music is for lullaby. I like it best and can rest fully. Whenever I cannot sleep i just drink few and I can sleep already.

Music, that too soft music really helps me go asleep faster apart from reading books. But now I hardly have those music being played while I go to sleep and even without them get good sleep.
Those who are in the habit must be listening to the music quite carefully to get sleep as this is the correct method.

I think you are right. I think those who can't sleep need to find some good way to get some sleep.

Hello, Vivianchen.
I used to fall asleep with music in the middle school. But I didn't mind what music it is. I just listened to the radio and there was a music program in the night.
But now I don't need any music to fall asleep. I am so tired that I can fall asleep the moment I close my eyes.
And I have friends who enjoy sleep with music. Everyone has their own habit. haha.

When I was younger, we lived in a suburban and people are quiet and they are asleep as early as 8pm. I was used to it and hearing any sound or music only distract me. When my family transferred in the city wherein roads and highways are near houses, I could always hear the sound of the different kinds of motors and vehicles. I was irritated at first but became adjusted for a couple of months. Now, I can sleep even there is someone singing with a loud videoke.

When I was a student, I liked to listen to the music when I was sleeping. Now it's different. Since I am married and I don't sleep by myself only. So I don't want the music to be bothering. And today I sleep without music. Although I can still sleep with music, but I want to be considerate anyway:)
I love China

I usually fall asleep with the radio on a talk show. It covers up stray house noises and if I am concentrating on the subject, I am not thinking about my problems which can keep me awake. Usually the volume level of the voice drones on in the same volume, unlike music which tends to change with each song.

Now a days I need nothing to get me into sleep. But when I was a teen I had the habit of listening to some melodious songs while sleeping.Sometimes I even had dramas to listen while sleeping.Without something around I could not sleep those days. But somehow I came out of that habit. Now I can sleep anywhere unconditionally.Cheers!

i can fall asleep when i like to fall asleep,no matter with music or without music, but i think it is relax listening some light music before you go to sleep, but what makes me fell annoy is that sometimes i was waked up by music ,and the behavior to turn off the music makes me feel clear,so i'd rather sleep without the music

Let me see, I think I can fall asleep if it's a lullaby. But not Metal or Rock musics. I sleep soundly if there is no music at all. I don't mind someone plays soft tones at night, I can manage that!

I guess some ppl like to sleep with some sort of sound around them, it can be from the TV or Radio. When I do on fall asleep on my couch, with the TV on, I get up in the middle of my sleep and switch it OFF- same goes for the iPod...It does rather spoil ones sleep, i think!

I can sometimes fall asleep with music on, and sometimes not. I guess it depends on my mood. Sometimes it can help me relax. Other times it will aggravate me to the point where i cannot sleep.

When I have sleep problems,I usually choose some light music and it really works well.In most cases,I'd like to sleep without the music going on since I may forget to turn off the music.

That is a very good point. When you fall aleep, you won't get up again and turn the music off, unless someone is there turn the music off for you.
