learning english is so hard.

well,are you a chinese? if so ,may i have some advise to give you,i am a student in college ,my opinion is that firtly you have to make youself be intereted in english,just imagine that you are doing sth you actually not interesred in ,how can you stick it ?and to enjoy learning englsh ,you need to know what is your purpose of learning english,and what u can actually get through english learning,at last i hope you will make a great progress in your english learning.thanks

Just believe in yourself, you could make it. Do not, never, give up when you want to do so. Just keep on and keep on, till one day, you will find yourself nearly get success. English is not very easy to learn, however, nor dose it hard to learn. First, you should have interest in learning it, then just bring out action. You could make it!

Hi xiaoman, I believe the only way to learn a second language is to just keep at it. Don't get discouraged. If you have friends who speak the language well, always speak it when you are with them. I can understand that it would be difficult but always remember that you can do it. Blessings.

I learn by watching a drama with english subtitle in it. Let say, you a Chinese, watching a Korean drama, try tu find English subtitle to understand the meaning. I found this method really work beside listen and read the lyric song at the same time. Make yourself with the language. I live in Johor, southern part of Malaysia and when i was small, at my home, we got Singapore television channel and from there i familiarize myself with English. You also need to try to talk in English with somebody. D Don't be afraid to make mistake. Then surely your language proficiency will be improved.

hey ,xiaoman , i have been there too . i was in a bad mood when i did not get any progress , i am so mad at myself ,but i finally tried to practice it everyday , now i am getting better and better , being on mylot and dont quit the site ,to communicate with these people ,you will learn it faster .

it's true. it's really hard to master a language IMMEDIATELY especially if you're not used with it. It takes time so i suggest you practice here in my lot like what i'm doing right now and try to browse from the internet some online English tutors but it'll cost you a lot. i hope that helped. Well, Xiaoman, one good way to learn English is to practice on Mylot. I know how hard it is to learn a language. When I went to college, I had to learn spanish and it was really hard. You have to memorize a lot of words and learn how to pronounce everything correctly. But I really think that the best way to learn is to have conversations with people who already speak the language, which is exactly what you are doing here on mylot. I think you should keep participating in discussions here. If you are reading and you find that you don't know a word, look it up in your dictionary. I have heard that English is one of the hardest languages to learn, so don't feel bad if it takes a while. Good luck learning!

Well it's easy if you work hard on it. Try to make conversation in English and read books aloud in English. Once you get used to it. You can finally say it's not that hard anyway. And posting to discussions like this help a lot, you'll improve your english in no time.
