Absinthe - Have you tried it?

Wow. That stuff is insane! After it FINALLY got legalized here in the USA my hubby and I bought a bottle. I hurled after 2 shots. Couldn't walk a straight line...it was rough. I still can't smell it without getting a little green. Blech. Have you tried it? Did you like it? Did it tear you up like you did me? Tell me about your experiences with it!

It contains wormwood, which is a hallucigenic. If you do it correctly (i.e. with cold water and a sugar cube) it activates the chemical in the wormwood that makes you so messed up. Good stuff. Kinda one of those things that is cool to experience once but not all the time.

I have never tried it, but have read about if for years. I didn´t know that it was legal now in the US. Wonder if I can get it in Mexico? I would like to give it a shot, just one and see what it is like.

Isn't this the drink that reportedly made Edgar Allen Poe insane? Sounds pretty scary.
