Godfather is an epic while Scarface is a more of an action/crime story. I love them both but I love Godfather more.I prefer a good epic.

Scarface featuring Al Pacino is a great film although the original from the 1930's is in my opinion much better. But The Godfather is one of the greatest movies ever made, it is as near to a complete movie as you can watch. It has one of the most interesting stories, excellent performances, action, romance, violence, comedy it really spans most genres and in doing so in such an effective manner is unique. Not many movies made back in the first part of the 70s still feel as powerful and fresh today as well as inspiring many directors to try and emillate its success.

of course, GODFATHER. spectacular series of movies. it keeps glued to your seat. but mind it, you have to see with subtitles in the beginning as the italian accent of english is a bit difficult to understand.the rise of vito corleone to don corleone is terrific story telling. also we come to know that they have compassion in their hearts for their families, though their exterior appears ruthless. bye and take care...

hi buddy! everybody likes both the movies. Scarface tops in my mind. Because one has learn how to make a deal when you are making something illegal. Dialogues in godfather are like preachings to me. I always write it down. Cheers!!!!!

I love both of these movies. You must understand that they are closely related yet two different categories. The Godfather series is the #1 mafia movie (especially part II and part I). Scarface is the most amazing gangster movie. Though they both depict the rise and fall of an empire whether Corleone Empire or the Montana Empire! I love both of these movies.
