With all the buzz about the health benefits of dark chocolate , does it really out weigh the fact that its full of sugar and fat?

A good dark chocolate isn't full of sugar and fat. Dark chocolate has a high content of cocoa solids, which are what contain the antioxidants that make it healthy, and very minimal amounts of cream or milk, which are the main source of fat, and sweeteners, which are the source of sugar. The other part of chocolate, cocoa butter, does contain fat, but it's a vegetable fat and isn't as unhealthy as animal fats or man-made fats. In general, the darker the chocolate, the less fat and sugar it contains, and the healthier it is.

That's a matter of opinion. I happen to prefer dark chocolate and I find milk chocolate to be utterly disgusting.
