This question actually come from my wife. We know that pre-birth baby's grow is could be good stimulated by some kind of classical instrumental music. My wife asking me which music exactly? I just know Mozart & Beethoven, but I still have a doubt, is it kind of classical music which is suitable or maybe any other? and what symphony exactly is it? Do you have any knowledge about it, I appreciated if you can share your knowledge.

Hi flaredust, when I was pregnant I played classical music, lots of different composers. I noticed though that the baby kicked more when I played 'The Blue Danube' by Strauss. When I returned home with my 4 day old baby he was sitting in his car seat in the living room when I played 'The Blue Danube' to see if he would respond. He immediately became very responsive and raised both arms and I could tell that he recognised the sound. I suppose he kicked to show which music he liked to hear and his response was clear.

Hmm... Strauss's music, I'm not really familiar with it, but may be I'll search more information about that. May be my baby would like it more than Mozart, because I don't know when I play Mozart, my baby seems not really interested. Even when my baby got active kicking, then I play Mozart music, suddenly my baby stop kicking and remain calm. From my observation I think my baby doesn't like Mozart much

So, that's mean almost every kind of Mozart music is bring the same sound wave, not the specific concerto or symphony. Okay I'll go check it out on the store.. Hmmm, on the second thought, may be I better ask my friends around may be they have those kind of music I can borrow

I didn't do it while I was pregnant but my son a while back loved mozart music. It was relaxing and it would sooth him to sleep better.

I don't know which is right, some of mother says if her baby love Mozart her baby feel relax, but some other says different. They say if her baby love it her baby will become more active like rising her hand or moving her legs. May be different baby have different reaction. What I still don't know is, which reaction indicate that the baby doesn't interested with the music. As for my pre-birth baby, usually become calm after me & my wife play Mozart's music.

Edvard Hagerup Grieg’s Morning Mood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bihp6gwTdeg)~ search that in youtube.. it is soo calm.
My niece and nephew love this soo much that they need to listen to it when it is time to sleep.
a lot of times my nephew (who is 1 yr and 7 months now) starts to wave his hand like a conductor of an orchestra.
I was shocked. 0_0...
I like this one too~
"Chopin’s Etiude in E major Tristesse "
piano (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNAyKL2GHvA)

Wow, that's a lot of list you gave me, I'll try to check it out soon. All of it is new for me, I'm not into classic much that's why I also don't know much about it. Just because my wife pregnant, I start to learn about it and search which classical music fit to my baby . You like rock and classical? Wow . I like rock but as I said before I'm not into classical much.

The doctor says probably a boy. First time at the 5th month of my wife's pregnancy he (doctor)say it's a girl. My wife seems excited and read lots of girl baby article, but now when the doctor change his conclusion as a boy, my wife feels confused, in her mind already stated girl image and she need sometime to change that image to a boy baby . Anyway, we're not really different may be, because even I'm not into classical but when I feel fed up with rock I also change it to alternative new age genre like enigma, kintaro, vanessa mae, etc

haha~ I know it is weird but it something that changed my mood every now and then.
Not most of the time people will just listen to rock songs all days of his life, right?
So every time I get tired of listening to rock songs and I can feel that the end of the day it will just give me a damn headache, I'll switch play-list and I'll look for Canon in D or Etiude in E.
I don't even know what the heck is the E for or the D for in those tittles but yeah it is still music that's good to hear.
I hope this helps you with your baby.
Congratulations by the way!
Hope it is a healthy baby!
Is it a boy or a girl? XD
discussion is LOVE~
