Is it wierd for girls to like horror movies?

well, why should it be ? i do not think so. yeah, in general girls tend to like the soft and romantic movies, but it is not a rule. there are girls who like action,suspense and the sci fi thrillers. so, it is absolutely fine to like movies which keep you interested, no matter what it might be. so , go ahead and enjoy your movies.

On the contrary .... i think horror movies are for girls... boys like more comedy... action.... adventure.... Fantasy..... Girls have... romantic.. drama.... horror...... Actually you brought this question at a very weird time. I am on summer vacation and home so downloading a lot of comedy and action flicks... But since my sister got holidays too from her office she made me download back to back to back horror movies..... 1408...mirror....the number 23....the ring..... shutter.... and just finished the shining..... So it is not at all weird for a girl to like horror movies....

I don't think it matters what gender you are when it comes to watching and enjoying movies. Many women enjoy the thrill of being shocked or grossed out by a horror whilst many meny enjoy the gentleness and humour of a romantic comedy. It just depends on what's your cup of tea basically and any stereotyping of viewing habits when it comes to movies is generally incorrect. You wouldn't question adults who enjoy animated movies primarily made for children.

NO i love horror films they are my favorite. you will find that there are a number of girls who like them. if anyone ever tells you that you are weird for it just ignore them. they are the weird ones. i think it would be neat to taake a poll on it.

no it's not weird... in fact,i think it only shows that that girl is strong;) and that atracts men:P and anyway,if anybody calls you weird for liking horror movies,they are the true weirdos. so keep on watching what you like, horror movies are great and if you like them it means you are just as great;) take care

NO it is definately not weird for girls to like horror movies, i love to watch horror movies in fact they are my favourite kind of movie so much better than car chases and romance. give me blood and guts anyday.

I'm a girl and I love to watch horror movies as well. I've never thought that because I'm a female and I love to watch horror movies that it was odd or weird. I'm glad you've asked this question though, since the I've never thought to question whether or not it would be considered weird. I have, however, questioned whether or not there was something wrong with enjoying horror films. I mean, I REALLY like scary/horror movies. I watched an episode of Twilight Zone once where they hung people for their crimes and crowds would gather to bare witness. Well, in the episode, the people who gathered for the hangings ended up dying themselves because they were there to watch. I dunno...I will continue to enjoy horror movies regardless.

Not at all. I do not see anything wrong with women liking to watch horror movies. In fact it is exciting. I do not believe that women who like it is showing any sign weirdness. I love watching horror movies, and I am not WEIRD.

I don't think it's weird at all for girls to watch horror movies. Why shouldn't we watch them? We have equal rights to everyone else who wants to watch them. We should have the choice of being able to see whatever movie we want to watch. I personally love to watch horror movies. It's nice to get safely scared once in a while. It gets the heart pumping.

Well, I'm a girl...and I am a horror film junkie...of course most people would consider me to be weird. I don't think it is because of fasination with horror movies though... :P
