Listening to Music

Hi! I love alternative rock, emo, some metal, punk, techno, very light hip hop, and I love rap beats but the words turn me off of the music itself. Some of my favorite bands are Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco, Anti Flag, Green Day, Metallica, The Academy Is..., Coheed and Cambria, etc. I used to love country, so sometimes I still tune in to some of my favorite Dixie Chicks songs, and I also used to be very into rap before my morals changed, so I used to love 50 Cent, T.I., etc. It's so fun to have these types of discussions because so many people now listen to more than one type. :) It's interesting to see the combinations!

I listen to a lot of different music. I really like French horn, I play it myself although I'm not very good, so I have a lot of CDs with French Horn. I also like opera, but I prefer seeing and hearing it in the opera, not hearing it on a CD. In addition to that, I like film music and I listen to lot of popular music on the radio when I drive. When I'm driving I can listen to nearly everything, except some rap and heavy metal.

Hy. With music i live every day. I was rised with rock music and i love it.From time to time i listen house,ebm,electronic music but every day i listen metal. Now i have more interest in old stuff from 80` 90` but there are some new bands that play great..For me music is a part of my life

I am listening to music as I type. I am typing and singing along to All Summerlong by Kid Rock which makes it alot more fun. I cant live without my ipod. My music taste ranges from hard rock to pop to alternative. My favorite group is Nirvana. The only style I dont listen to is classical. Welcome to Mylot by the way.

Hey are you a music lover like me, then I love Indian music. It is called sangeetham. I love to listen to good tunes from telugu, tamil, hindi songs. I would also love to sing songs. I can sing equals to any professional singer can do. My favourite music directors are : Ilayaraja, A.R.Rahman, etc. My favourite female singer is Chithra. I just love her voice and the way she sings the tough tunes in an efficient way.

I tend to listen to everything and anything it depends on my mood. The types I listen to most have to be rock , rockabilly , psychobilly and reggaeton. I LOVE MUSIC ... :):)

New and old music from the area of R&B, some rap, and some hip hop. I really listen to any kind of music but I have my choices just like anyone else. Music does a lot for me, like I can think more clearly listen to music. I get happy sometimes listen to music and many people can relate to music which helps me to connect with other people. Sometime they turn into long time friends.

Hi there welcome to mylot, well music was part of my life. I love listening to music sad to say that i can't sing well but its ok as long as i can sing along with my favorite music. Well first of all welcome to mylot. If you would like to write a lot on here you should add a lot of interests and then you will see that there is a lot to write everyday. Music is part of my everyday life and i usually always have it on and even when i'm writing here on mylot. I like songs from so many genres, such as Hip Hop, RnB, Country, Pop and so many different artists. I like bands such as Rascal Flatts, Linkin Park, Hip Hop artists such as Akon, Sean Paul, Pitbull, TI, and so much more. Music gives people the influence maybe to do bad things but then again it changes people to be better people and with music i don't know what my life would be life, probably really boring.

I'm more of an R&B lover and second is alternative POP rock but I'm versatile and can listen to almost all song genres as long as the lyrics are good enough to read as well!

I personally listen to anything that I believe sounds good, regardless of genre. I was originally interested in rock music as a kid but my exposure to many various types of music (not only north american genres, but global genres) broadened my interest in music as a whole. I am now a musician and I follow the same criteria of listening to music as I do to writing it, I don't constrict to an image or genre, I just want what sounds best. Sometimes you can tell when an artist has cut corners in their composition, possibly for various reasons; lack of ideas, lack of time/funds, necessity to stay in or avoid a certain genre/image/scene, and more. When it's noticeable, its actually rather sad. Sometimes they reduce the complexity of their music so that it is more appealing to mass audiences, but if you look at some of the biggest artists and bands in the world, their innovation is what makes them truly memorable and incredible.
