Perfectionist in an imperfect world

My Mother told me few days ago that I am a perfectionist; I don't really pay attention to what she said until she explained it to me. She said I change my mood easily everytime I don't see something working properly. Like when the internet connection is slow, the computer is crawling, the car makes a lot of noises, the soda is not as cold as I want it to be, the coffee taste too sweet and a whole lot of other different things.
She said nothing in this world if perfect; it's about time that I should embrace that fact so I can enjoy the life that I am living. I told her that I am doing my best to make things happen the right way, in fact I worked so hard for it, so why can't all those problems disappear?
Deep inside I believe her, not only because she's my Mom but she is also right (my imperfect Mom with a perfect intention). Her words got stuck in my head that I am currently looking for ways to change or improve the way I think. I know it's not going to be easy, it means changing my whole perception in life.
Is there anyone else out there that has the same way of thinking?

I would love to see this world perfect, I try my best to help others and i think that if everyone was to stop doing whatever they are doing now and said that that's not important, and realized that the only thing that counts is happiness of those around us then this world might be perfect. but too many people think that their goal of making millions is more important then happiness of others
