There are 7 types of coonhounds: Redbone Coonhound (where the red fern grows) English Coonhound American Black and Tan Coonhound Treeing Walker Coonhound Plott Hound Bluetick Coonhound American Leopard Hound What type do you own? If you don't yet own a coonhound, what is your favorite breed of coonhound? We have 3 of the 7 here at Ironwood Kennels - http://www.ironwoodkennel.com - Redbones, English (redticks) and American Black and Tans.

My parents have redbones, english, and Black and Tan. LOL!

Sound like pretty awesome parents. LOL Welcome to mylot, David. ;-) Tell these folks something about your favorite dogs here and what you think about coonhounds in general. For the record, 'Daveyrave' is my 20 yr old son. :)
