hi .. i know that this topic has been highly discussed .. but i want to know if abortion = murder ? should the culprit be charged with "first degree murder" ?
For me : yes it should be ... the person should be charged and go tru the same sentence or punishment as a murderer
But if it is done with doctors instruction due to some medical reasons than it should be accepted

Hi there!
I think illegal abortion could be termed as murder. However, if the girl is an unwed mother and she giving birth to a child could cause complications, then it would be better to go for abortion. Miscarriages do happen and in that case, no one should be held responsible.

i agree with you but do you think the sentence should be = murder ... n in the incident shoud the partner be sentenced too ?? in the case of unwed mother ... should the sentence to the unresponsible partner be more tough
for me ... partner should take equal responsibilities in this ..

You see it will have to be taken into consideration that who is deciding to go for abortion, if it is the girl then it cannot be termed as murder. What I understand from your post is that the man/boy should be held responsible for the pregnancy and subsequent abortion and he should be punished. I think one cannot become pregnant if the love making is not with mutual consent. If it so, then both the girl and the boy are responsible for unwanted pregnancy and consequent abortion. You cannot solely punish a boy for this crime.

ya i understand what u mean, it should be case to case basis in the incident where both parties went the extra mile together then both should be responsible on the future of their child be it to have it or abort it .. in most incident the the ladies go about abortion because the male paerner does not show responsibities

In my home country abortion is allowed up to 24 weeks pregnancy so is would be a legally allowed murder. The lady would pay an abortionist to kill her baby before he or she is 24 weeks old in the womb. So the abortionist is guilty but the lady was the one that decided her pregnancy should be terminated. I was shocked to be offered an abortion at 36 weeks pregnancy. That was because the consultant thought my baby would be severely disabled. I said no way and my son was born then spent three weeks in a special care baby unit. He had two operations and now he is a happy little boy of 2 years old. Another way abortion is legal at any stage of pregnancy in my home country is if the lady's life is in danger. I accept that abortion may be done to save the life of the mother. Then it is a special case and would be understandable. In a country that abortion is illegal in both the abortionist and the lady are guilty of murder and could go to jail because they are doing stuff that is against the law.

Sorry but it's not murder. Murder is illegal. Abortion is not.
