if you were in labor, would you do it with or without pain meds?

I would definitely choose the pain meds. In most cases (tattoos, piercings) I have a very high tolerance for pain..But not with having babies, I wouldn't imagine!

I had the epidural. The pain was just way too much for me. I tried to go without it but just the smallest of contractions would hurt really bad. My doctor told me that I had to stay in bed because my water was leaking when i first got there. People I have talked to who did it without the epidural said they were able to move around. All i could do was roll from side to side in the bed. I am not sure if the pain would have been a little more tolerable if I was able to move around.

Hi to all my lotters.based on my own experiences im more scared of taking pain meds.Its a big REWARD on our part(mothers) who will experience eveything in natural way.Something you could be proud of,and be a history to tell that you had done it without those pain relievers.you just have to know when is your maturity date and whow...be prepared..Dont eat much,you have to walk every morning and be stressed free. But most of all you have to ask guidance from above and in that way no more pain med...Youll congratulate yourself with the success...I had labors for 3 hours,but i keep silent and SMILE.that is my pain med,about 3 hours after my baby and I are safe from the hands of the doctors.
