I work once a week in a cigarette shop but I don't feel like going, unfortunately my boss is also an acquaintance of me and my mum, so I am almost forced to go...
My resistance grew after I had to do all kinds of tough stuff for my boss 2 weeks ago... :(
Can somebody give me a peptalk please?

Well think of it this way:
If it is hard tough physical work you are developing musle and will save yourself a few bucks by working and getting pay for it and not going to the gym.
If it is mundane, boring but tough work, what would you be doing at home? And one day out of the week?
At least you get your paycheck.
My peptalk is work and if you dislike the job so much find another job where you quit with a good reason, find someone at home that likes the job, trust me just because you think a job is not all that great, it doesn't mean no one else wants it.

Great advice, Shelly!!
Some people here in mylot would trade their arms and legs for a job with this economy. I just left a comment for someone who has been unemployed for a year, and she feels that her confidence is slipping.
Like what I've been saying lately - better than nothing.

It's not very physical but it's just boring, at times I just have to sit in her office watching the security cams and that's all... at other times I gotta do work behind the register and I get bantered by a colleague because of my lack of experience with the register...
It's not that when I quit this job there is nobody who would like to use my services. Fortunately...
I'll just leave earlier if its really boring... she's not gonna sack me for that...

khayshenz thanks for your words, I was thinking myself I want that job and I do not even know what it is.
lol
diamania it does not sound that bad, I used to be a cashier once upon a time, learn the machine and learn to count your money, I am not good a math and I was seldom shorth in my balances.
Good luck

Don't let no one hurt your money, hon.
Keep the Dollar Signs in your eyes. The only way to hurt someone that doesn't love you is in the wallet. Make that paycheck and look for a different job in the meantime. Remember, keep your mind on the money.
Also, my hubs has a perfect outlook on that kind of thing. He says "God made a*sholes to motivate us." He couldn't be more right. It's totally true. Show that boss what your made of and keep taking that money.

Thanks visitorinvasion. The problem is that I've got really nothing to do at work beside mylotting and incidentally supporting the cashier team. Having no way to show my boss what I am made off really doesn't motivate me. Being the jack of all trades here might sound great to others, doing all sorts of things that don't bore one silly, but when your mum comes in the shop making a fool out of you, would you feel comfortable? Hehe :P
Oh well, I'm just hoping for my shift to be over fast and go home doing once again nothing, and hoping to receive my paycheck at the end of the month. Which I won't cause I don't even have a contract so I can even get screwed over... oh well :D
Thanks once again.

Keep on doing it! You know your job well, it may be boring, but you're getting money. Many times people don't even have a job. Keep on working my friend. Look for anew job if you don't like the job. If your co-workers are mean just go ahead and talk with them, okay?
