Do You Consider Yourself a Non-Conformist?

Someone who doesn't do what Simon says? Or are you the type of person who follows the crowd and jumps when you're told to jump? All kinds of opinions are welcome.

Hi. I tend to do my own thing...to a point. While I may do what I am told, I don't do something just because everyone else is doing it. In fact, I may not do it just because everyone else IS doing it. I tend to enjoy doing things that bore other people and I am easily bored by the things that other people enjoy doing. So I guess you would say that I am a nonconformist, right?

I like to march to the drum of mine own flute. I don't let anyone tell me what to write or how to write it though I do like feedback. I'll think about the feedback and I if I think that it's good for the story over all and would make it better, then yeah, I'd do it. But if I think its wrong on so many levels, then I won't. I have my own cloathing style and I really hate the kids style these day, its all so immodest! what are they trying to be? hookers? honestly! Politics...lets not go there, you all ready know me on that front. *lol* Family, hurt them and die. No one will find your body! I'm smart. I'd actually dig a REAL ditch to burry you in. Six feet deep and then grow corn over your worthless carcass! *roflmao* Personally, hurt me and you go away. My friends, 'Sure Mr. Officer you can take me to jail,' - one of my friends is being stupid at the moment *rolls eyes* Anything else is free game but beware, I give as good as I get. Clutterbug, this is a great convo you started! too bad I can't give you brownie points...well, it'd just have to be figuratively.

Right on! I had asked my dad a question when I was a teenager (I don't remember the question), but I remember his reply, he said, "You have a mind of your own, don't follow the crowd, think for yourself". I'll never forget that. Yes, I agree, the kids today (and some women!) need to cover those body parts. I don't like their new dress code (I mean, undress code). Thanks for the brownie points!

*lol* enjoy your brownies. Yeah, my Parents have raised myself and my siblings to make our own decisions according to what is right and honorable. It's not a popular theology. Most people believe in whatever doesn't hurt someone else, but they don't realize how their decisions do impact other people. But that's something for another discussion. I was at church once and I saw this very pretty girl, she looked like someone who would be great to talk too, she wore a nice pinstriped suit, however, I wanted to go over and pull up her under shirt, she was showing WAY to much cleabage for church. And I am really weird about that because my personal belief when it comes to church is that its about God, not about showing things off. So, I always dress overly modest because my head is supposed to be on God more than on all the other days. sorry, that's the one time I ever wanted to yell at someone for looking like a hooker. *lol*

I do my thing my own way. I don't have band wagon syndrome. I do what i feel like doing most times, hardly do wat others want me to do.

Nope nope nope! I never do what the popular crowd does or never will. I'm a terrible follower, seriously, I am!. I question everyone and everything. Naturally being like this makes a person a leader or a loner, which is fine by me..

Me too, being a loner isn't a bad thing at all; I am part loner and part hermit, and I'm a happy camper. I appreciate your comment.

Usually the first thing out of my mouth when asked a question is NO, but in this case the answer is YES. I am surrounded by Republicans, conservatives, and church going people. There is nothing wrong with being any of these types or even all of them. I am a liberal Democrat who is not religious, except when I am not any of those, I have strong opinions that don't always fall into an existing box. So Yes I am a non conformist.

yay, welcome to our bandwagon. ha, oxy moron in itself! I'd also like to point out that I go about my religion and other stuff my own way. I don't think that it is a bad thing or goes against non-comformity if you just so happen to believe in a higher being, or something else.

Hello clutterbug, just having a wander here through discussions about sheep, such annoying little animals, and here I chanced into this one of yours. Most definitely not conformist at all and the last time someone told me to jump I completely refused to leave the side of the boat in case the sea was too cold and I couldn't climb back in again, I really do hate it when boats don't have ladders.
