Hi cwe2hz,
In order to be master any languages, you have to practice it. You can't just read or heard it from audio recording machine. You maybe good in writing but if you didn't speak that language to other people, you would not know if your pronunciation is correct or your sentence is in order.
Don't be afraid to try it to other people. If you feel shy that you may do a mistake, just try it with your family members or your friend. Ask them to correcting you whenever you do mistake. This is a basic part of learning other languages or even our native language. We can excellent on our native languages because we practice it everyday without realizing it.
Good luck to you and have a nice day.

hi!care to share what your nationality is? and from what country your residing in?
english with constant practice is a lot easier to learn. since you find it quite diffilcult maybe ask your friends to study it with you or surround yourself with a lot of english speaking people.Listen to english music, watch english movies, buy an english dictionary that has your language translation, start reading short stories in english...and everyday make sure that you use what you learn.try and speak in english with your friends...eventually you'll find it easier. or if you can-- enroll in english classes, or if you are that serious, get yourself an electronic translator..it's much portable that carrying a very thick dictionary ;-)
