I work in a small company of 10 people. There a 2 bosses, the big one in charge of everything, the small one mainly responsible for the main sales team.
It's been for 3-4 months now. All of my sales team colleagues growing to dislike my big boss to such an extreme that there is not a single hour you cannot hearing them cursing him. My big boss is either not aware or not care and he continued to joke around and tease them, and asking for group dinner / lunch. I know it's normal that employer usually don't like their boss (well, who will?) But it sad to see it like that they don't respect the boss, thinking him an idiot and have not 1 gram of feelings of belongings to the company.
The worst is my big boss always want to take us all out for dinner, meaning for us to act as a whole team and actually 80% of the people do not want to join...... and the boss still think he is going great in uniting everybody in the company as a whole.....
How is your company like? Have you experience something like I have before and what did you think about it?

It often happens in an office environment. The staffs always dislikes the boss and the boss will know it.So they will not come down to mingle with workers. The best way to keep in contact is through the P.A.,that is the personal assistant.Your boss should follow this and you can also communicate with the boss through him.Unfortunately, you don't have a middle man like that.

I work in a small company too and we have been going through quite a few plant managers lol. The one we got now is ok most of the time, but he can be a real turd at times. His mood can go from good to bad to worse within 5 sedonds.
Thank god I can read people well and already figured out that when he whistles, that means he is annoyed. So when walks in whistling I try to stay away from him lol.
