Are you aware of the idea of a new global currency? What are your thoughts?

I'm not sure if any others have heard of this but I remember it most recently being mentioned in an article about the most recent G8 meeting. There are plans in the works for a new global currency, much like the EU has the Euro, this would be legal tender for all countries. The last article I saw mentioning this was an article on how China was not going to bring up the global currency topic at the G8 meeting, and that was all I heard. Now I found this article about it on bloomberg with a link to a picture of the currency.

Now I am aware that there are many conspiracy theories circulating about the New World Order, and while I listen to everyone with an open mind, I am looking for the facts. What do you think about this global currency? Do you think it is something that will be implemented soon? And what are your thoughts on having this currency? Would this mean the creation of a large central bank and what would the implications be?

I think maybe the west country want to control the new currentcy, if they use china to lead currency they can't control china. If you looked back past China more power in world economy, and China has cheaper currency than The west countries, so china is more competition in the world market.
