I dont feel so, as i believe population are incresaing in that country or race or religion where education is not well spread. These slogan or observance does not reach to their ear. so target group are always out its purview. What are you feeling in this.

Hi, divinelife! Each of us has an obligation to all of us. This s a perfect day to renew our promises to make the world a better place by coexisting in peace and nurturing one another, throughout the world! We need to become advocates for children and act as foster parents or adopt those who have no real families. Children are, indeed, the future. Every form of child abuse MUST be stopped right now, too!

I raised 28 children as a foster parent or adoptive parent, and I don't care who was which. Many people I know have taken in all the kids they can handle. This is not an area that can tolerate talking the talk without walking the walk!

I am a Chinese citizen.I think the war result in the large population of China.Almost every family in my country lost relatives in that terrible era.So the government encourge people to have many childrens after war.It directly cause the huge population quota.About 40 years ago, each Chinese family commonly had 6-8 childrens. So amlost all of the teenage today have many uncles and aunts regardless of they come from urban or village. However, the government started to control the population in the Eighties.People who have more than 2 children will be punished by the law.So the growth rate of China to slow down in recent years. But i think we can do more to control the world population, such as what you say to spread education in backward area, and make every people aware the crisis we meet.

Thank you to highlight the main point in the discussion. Either education OR any harsh law only can curb down population in world. Every country should follow the steps that your China followed in the eighties. Spreading education in the downtrodden people where poverty exists in More Tougher than enforcing a LAW. Have fun with myLotting.

Population is becoming a global concern now.I am an Indian and here the government is conducting a lot of public awareness drives. the people in the urban areas understand it but it is tough to make the villagers understand its importance, as they've not gone to school and all. I resolve to help in spreading this awareness amongst the masses by whichever means possible. I've joined an NGO as well hence I am sure I will be able to contribute. Thanks

Observation to the day is not going to be fruitful to the cause, but more so, world governments doing something will. I respect China for trying to control their population, but you have to realize, that there are many loopholes past that, and that the government can not check every little town for people. The populated countries in the world have to make a transition called the demographic transition which will slow down population growth which this planet desperately needs right now. I believe that there will be food and water shortages which will get more and more difficult to solve day by day, and unless the different countries come together, nothing will be done.

You are in United States where education is not a hindrance to the cause. But specially in the nations where illiteracy dominates this costs much to them. Thank you for responding.

the population i say should decrease in the correct sense it must be in a controlled rate so that it would be a country's progress as less number would be more allocation of resources per head could be allocated than that of small amount of resources for huge number of people
