Hair loss is usually caused by stress and since you're a new mother I can see why you would be losing hair! The shampoo we usually use doesn't help, as it contains chemicals that destroy hair follicles, from which the hair grows. Get a shampoo without Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, which is an engine degreaser. It produces loads of suds, which people think they need but don't. Or you could wash your hair with a mixture of baking soda and water. That works very well although you have to rinse a lot. Try to relax, be sure to take vitamins.

Hi, dragon. Thanks for your suggestion. I would like to try it. What do you mean it works very well? Will it help to have less hair loss? My shampoo doest not contain SLS. I know this ingredient is not good for our health. I believe it is caused by combination of reasons, like stress, hormonal change, lack of vitamins. Yes, i am quite stressful recently and hope i can cope with my life now. Thanks for the concern and have a nice day!

I'm very sorry to hear that. I have heard that it does happen with some women after giving birth. I heard it will eventually stop too though. I think it all depends on how healthy you get as to how quick it will stop falling out.

I read somewhere that many of the proucts we use for hair cair actually contribute to hair loss. Shampoos containing sodium lauryl sulphate was cited as of the contributing factors. This is mainly due to the fact that this is the same substance used as a decreaser for vehicles. It also strips our hair of its natural oils and many hair poducts actually clog our hair follicles. A web search should give you suggestions on what to do .

Hi there, i think its normal based on my experience i also had hair loss after giving birth to my daughter. I think 1 month after i have this hair loss, i just dont put too much shampoo and conditioner. And i used shampoo and conditioner which are just mild to hair. Now still i have hair loss but not the same as before so i think giving birth has something to do with it. I am not so sure but what a co incidence you gave birth also and i experienced that when i gave birth also. Goodluck to you and keep on mylotting hope you find answer to your question. Goodluck again!

More girls face this type f hair loss after giving birth to their child. It is due to the harmone changes the girl's body have during pregnancy. It can't be avoided.Don't go for any medical treatments for that. You can regain it soon with good diets.Consult a doctor and he/she can give you the right advice.Cheers!

It is normal to have hair loss after delivery.I too have these days after my second delivery. It occurs diue to imbalance of hormones after delivery and it would stop after one or two menstrual cycles. Roughly, It would be there for 2-3 months. Nothing to worry as hair would get replaced generally.

even i am facing hair loss. It occurs generally when there is a change in water, atmosphere etc. Try not to experiment with different oils, shampoos. Stick to one oil and then you will notice a considerable improvement in hair loss problem.

Hi lulu, I have not been blessed with children so i won't know if that is the cause of your hail loss the the only thing I can come up with is through stress, stress caused so many different things to a person, when I get stress, I get boils come up all over my body, as you are stresst out, your system goes down, my case its boils but maybe you are stress with a new baby which is quite normal and it comes out in you with hair loss, don't worry it will stop and you'll be ok again. Hugs. Tamara

No, am not, but thanks for the info you shared today. i might take precautions in using shampoo after i gave birth. it seems that hair loss is part of after giving birth syndrome. don't be afraid, you didn't take Kemo Sessions, probably it'll come off sooner. don't use too much shampoo.

Nobody is happy to discover they are losing their hair. the question that immediately comes to mind is, why do we lose our hair? there are many short term causes for hair loss. hair loss ofter takes place in the period following certain illeness or major surgery. this is related to the stress caused by these events. in fact, stress has been connected to hair loss in many cases, although the exact relationship is not well understood.

No worries! i have the same problem. after i had my daughter everytime i ran my fingers through my hair id pull out an entire handful! or when id get out of the shower it would look like there was a gerbil at the bottum of the tub. my daughters now 9 months old, and im 3 months pregnant with my second and im still having that problem. my doctor said its because you grow more hair when youre pregnant, and youre bodies so out of wack after you have the baby thats why it happens, but its supposed to get better! im not sure when, because it hasnt happend for me yet, but i hope soon! haha. i havent gotten any bald spots thank god, im just losing handfuls of hair.

I had gastric bypass 10 months ago. Very glad I did as I have lost 164 pounds but since I am eatting less I have found I am loosing hair. I was instructed to take a biotin (sp?) suppliment and to eat enough protine each day. Are you getting enought protine? Eggs are the most complete form but peanut butter, beans, and milk are also good forms as well as meat. Good luck

Some problems are associated with giving birth. It is said that women may suffer from hair loss whilst others start having problems with their teeth as they start to weaken. I think its best to speak with your hairdresser or a professional one, that may suggest which products to use so as not to make situation worse. I guess a doctor may also give some useful tip also on some food you could eat or vitamins so that the lost ones are replaced and hair follices are strengthened again. Good luck & good day!

I know what you are going through I have very thin hair and I feel my hair got thinner after giving birth as well. I would suggest eating alot of protien and taking vitiams. There is special vitamin specially formulated for your hair. After time this might help thicken it up. Use good shampoo and conditioners to support healthy hair. Brush you hair from the bottom up. This prevent breakage. When putting your hair in pony tail holder make sure there is no meatal catches to rip out the hair. These are all some good tips for your hair. If you think the hair is too thin you could also try rogain for women. It is sxspensive but does work and is effective.
