How to Fix corrupted files in XP?

its very simple to fix the corrupted files in XP the following are steps to fix the files 1.Windows XP operating system 2.Windows XP cd. Procedure: 1.Place the xp cd in your cd/dvd drive. 2.Go to start-Run-type cmd. 3.Type in command prompt 'sfc /scannow' (without the quotes). Now it should all load, and fix all your corrupted file on windows XP.

first you type the commands and if windows asks for installation disk then only put the cd in drive. also there has to be a space gap between sfc and / (slash)

Hmmm I seem to have forgotten about that way I usually boot up from the CD and go through the repair setup. Ill have to keep that in mind.
