It has been a really long time I have not gone for a movie.I am actually not so crazy about watching movies. But all my friends are going for at least 3-4 movies a month.
So,I was just wondering if it is only me or there are other people who rarely go and watch a movie.

Let's not talk about months. How about years. It's been over 15 years since I last went to the cinema. Actually, the only time that I frequently go there is during dating, perhaps the first 2 years of dating, then it dwindled. After 4 years dating, we got married and cinema is out of my life. It is television. 5 years into marriage, we went again with kids and that's the last.
When you have kids, you can't enjoy cinema but feel embarrassed (noise from your kid). Then there is the cost. It was $2.50 per ticket then, now it's $7 per and think, you have to buy more tickets because it's not just you, there's the children. Better to borrow vcd $3.50 per show and watch at home.
My advice is go and enjoy cinema when you are still young and single so at least you won't complain when you are married and have children. You had your time but of course if it is not enjoyable to you, forget it. Main thing is to be happy.

I rarely go out to see a movie as not only do I find it too expensive but enjoy watching movies in peace and quiet at home. But I would say I watch a minimum of 2 movies a day usually 3 or 4, either ones shown on TV or from my DVD collection.

Exactly same is the case with me.I was crazy about movies at one point of time and used to go for almost all the movies. But somehow I lost interest in watching movies.I don't know how it happened but I rarely feel like watching a movie nowadays.
Even when with friends I would prefer going to a restaurant and having good food than watch a movie in a movie-hall.
Anyways thanks a lot for your response.Do keep posting and happy mylotting.

This is the same situation for me also. This is just about the only entertainment my husband and I have. We like to have a few cocktails, snacks and will watch at least 3 movies in a row. The only downside is that I have to make sure that I rent something that will interest him. He does not like Girly movies.

I lose track on how many movies I watch per month, I don't really count anyway! I love movies and I watch a whole lot of them. When I watch a movie, that's my time, my moment to escape into another world, movies really do something for me. I love those horror movies, all blood and gore! Andrew

I totally agree with you. I would rather watch movies than television. Because with the movies, it is the beginning and the end. With Television, now a days, a lot of the stuff has become like a serial. So with my schedule, it is very hard to keep up on a regular basis. Now as for horror movies, I really pick and choose those because sometimes the crime thrillers are scary enough. Those are more real to life which really is a horror movie to me.

Im not such a movie person. I generally wont go and see a movie. Sometimes if there are people pushing to go I might go. Im just not that interested and it is so expensive. I have netflix, so I can always see a movie once it comes out on video if I am really interested.

The cost to go and see a movie is definitely to much. The movie has really got to be good for me to go and then I try to attend the matinee. I mean it really has to be good. This way I know that it will be at least 3 months before it comes out on DVD and I may not want to wait that long. But for my money, this is Academy Award material for sure. I also rent to Netflix and Blockbuster. I get 7 movies a week, so you know I know what I am talking about.

I hardly ever go out to a theater, but I watch probably 25 to 35 movies a month. I have a large DVD collection and I also rent from Netflix. There are days when I watch two or three movies, but most of the time, it's just one There's no movie theater near me and and I don't have transportation. It's also much cheaper to rent, and to buy movies second-hand that I know I'll want to watch more than once.

So are an aspiring filmmaker? What type of movies do you like? Have you done some movies also? What is the genre of the movies that you make or will make?

Internet technologies make my movie watching pattern changed. Nowadays I am more on online movies and most of them are FREE viewing version. But, for an outing in a month for refreshment I enjoy watching it at CINEPLEX type of cinema near my living area. So - to answer your question for how many movies do I watched in a month, my answer is three (3), at least.

Even at home I rarely watch a movie,be it in the TV or on the net.
Anyways thanks a lot for your response and happy mylotting.

I love to watch world cinema. That is why I prefer to download movies that are usually entered or joined in film festivals. I just love the new techniques and storytelling that I experience when I watch those movies. Unlike the movies here in my country which SUCKED........ The only reason why they made money is because they are using these hunky actors and HOT babes in the leading role which has no talent in acting at all.

I watch rarely movies now days. I prefer downloading latest movies from torrent sites. I save money and I could watch it in my living room with my family. Watching movie is fun when friends invited me and take charge of paying my entrance. I watch historical, romance and action movies. especially if my favorite actors and actresses are starring in a movie. I save money and I do watch it. Because of being busy from work, I only watch movies from internet.

I also love to watch Wowowee.... There is an episode there called Willie of Fortune wherein you will really learn the stories of the people who joined that noontime show. They are not dramatized/inspired by true stories... they are the REAL deal and what those people are experiencing in their lives.

Sometimes, I am bored in watching movies. That is why sometimes, I prefer to watch series like House MD, Bones and CSI. I don't know but sometimes, I just feel that watching a 3 hour movie on working days is just not good for me because I will just feel sleepy when working.

If you are talking about going to an actual movie theater and watching a movie there, well I probably see two movies a year. But that is in the theater. Through netflix I probably watch three a month. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for a movie, but it is nice to have them come in the mail without me even having to go to a store.

I don't have to go out to see a movie,I have cable t.v. so I have many movie channels, So I can watch many movies each day. I average about two movie a day ,so that would be 60 movies a month? I don't keep track.Once when I didn't have cable,I would watch about 4-5 movie back to back on a local t.v channel. But these days I can see at least 5 each day.I don't go to the theater that often these days.It is hard to find a movie I would like.

Same as me. Watching movie is like a stress buster for me. Especially from my work which is a night shift call center job. That is why I always look forward to my RD (rest days) because I am excited to watch the movies that I've been downloading during the weekdays. I also love to watch series like House MD, BONES and animes like Bleach and Naruto.
