Okay, so I am a huge, huge, huge fan of Johnny Depp. It is my life's goal to collect each and every movie he was ever in - however, there is one movie that I just cannot stand no matter how many times I try to watch it. Private Resort....
The only good thing is that you get to see his bum, if they didn't get in a bobdy double, but I found that the plot was lacking, JD wasn't the main character, and even though the cross dressing was funny - the writing sucked!!!

I've seen every movie he's been in, but not the TV shows, just 21 Jump Street. I can't say that I have a least favorite Johnny Depp movie. He delivers perfect performances in every single one of his movies. What I must admit is that I find the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise a bit dull. I mean, yeah, he deserved his Oscar nomination, but on the whole, these movies were pretty shallow as opposed to others, they're just supposed to be summer blockbusters. I dislike watching too many times Once Upon A Time In Mexico due to what happens with his character. It's not JD's fault, nonetheless.

21 Jump Street was the only television show he did, I am not counting the random interviews or random brit sitcoms he might have had a fleeting appearance on.
Pirates, ah!
I re-discovered my love of Johnny Depp with pirates. I even researched the historical pirates and even though Disney's timeing and all that is wrong, especially with the corset thing but I can't explain that all that well, they got the essence of the Romantic Errol Flynn type of Pirate movies, and put a new spin on it. Honestly, Pirates has to be the top of my list of favorites. But that's just me.

POTC reminded me of my 'love' for JD.
He is mostly my muse when it comes to my writing.
I particularly love Captain Jack Sparrow, and thank heaven that Zack Effron isn't going to be in the 4th movie, because he'd have ruined it beyond repair! *lol*

I meant the.. random episodes. The ones he did at the very beginning of his career and the Spongebob thingy from nowadays. Weird how he can't stand watching himself in anything, but would do anything to please his youngsters. I'm really looking forward to going to the cinema and watch The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, Public Enemies and the oh-so-grim and promising Alice In Wonderland. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are the perfect combination in terms of successful moviemaking.
Back ontopic, I remembered finding The Libertine quirky and obscene, yet clever. I enjoyed it, although it's not too high up in my top..I think Before Night Falls was the biggest surprise of all, to me. Simply brilliant.

I love Johnny Depp. He could be in a two hour movie and I would still probably give it five stars. I have never heard of the movie you are referring to, but if even a tiny part of him was naked he could not have been too bad.

That's the only part of the movie I watch. Otherwise I totally cannot stand it becaue the writing and the plot is so stupid. I really wished that they had furthered the plot, it was a good premise but the way they executed it was just horrible and not even JD could save it. heck, he wasn't even the main character. It was really disapointing because Bob Morrow was the main character, but JD's face is on the front cover plain as day, no one else is with him.
That's just horrible in so many ways.

Well everyone has different point of view.
You have a movie in which he has a descent role.
For me his least favorite is Platoon in which he has a role of few seconds.
It is really a old movie when he was not too popular.
I think if you will go through different celebrities there is at least one or two movies they have worked in which there die hard fans might not like it.
It is personal experience but exceptions are always there.

I guess when I watch a movie I first try to consider the person playing the part from the perspective of are they just trying to break into the business or are they an actor/actress that is at the top of their field. It sounds like the movie that you dislike may be a movie that Johnny did earlier in his career. Since I have not seen all of his movies, I guess I can't give a straight answer to your question. I like the off-the-wall roles that he takes and I guess one of my favorites is "Cry Baby" or any of the works he has done in the past ten years.

JD is definitely one of my all-time favorite actors. He is really good at getting into every character he plays. I, for one, really enjoyed his take on Willy Wonka. Willy is supposed to be eccentric and slightly demented. It just works well for that film.
I haven't heard of Private Resort, but I do know that I like all of the movies in which he plays a main character role. He is definitely of a higher calliber than most actors of his age today.
