A smile has many meanings,pleasure friendiness amusement and many more and it is a part of univeral body language that doesn't need any extra interpretations
plus a smile with all its simplicity and beauty can be a vey important thing in many aspect of our lives

Hi there Catherine!You're right! A smile can mean a lot and most especially, it shows that people can easily approach you whenever they feel the need too and could be a start of friendship. It is something that you can give to other people but you'll never run out of it. I have experienced having my mood lifted up by a stranger who smiled at me. I learned the difference that one smile can make and since then, I try to smile to people that I see especially the grumpy looking ones. It may cause their mood to brighten up and even when some of them ignore me, it's fine.

I like to give and receive smiles. Long ago I have experienced sad days, and then if someone smiles at me, I am happy again. A smile lifts my heart.
