I work 9 hours a day during the week at my regular full time job. On the weekends I am only scheduled for 12 hours but yesterday the girl who was to relieve me said she could not make it in so I ended up working 12 hours in one day! I was so exhausted! Today at least I got 9 hours sleep. I get to go into work later this afternoon. How many hours do you put in each day?

I am working as Customer Service now. It really depend on customer call or trouble of our equipment. For normal working day, I only working 8 hour/day. If there are calling that I have to give respond immediately. Sometime, I received a call at 10 or 11 pm then I need to open my laptop and tried to look on what's type of equipment. After it ready, I have to call back customer and give some guide or assist. Then I have to wait until they solved their problems. One day, I have attend this problem until 5 or 6 am morning. But I have going to office on 8 am and no sleep, eye burn... Average within one month, It is happen 3 cases... If problems are solved that I am very happy and proud of it.

Thanks for responds, you are remind me some thing. Recently, they already increased my salary after I was decided to quit this company. Because some customer who I already help them on past, They just give a good feedback about my service support to my Boss. Then They give some good offer as Leader/Coordinator on Customer Support Service.

I am lucky because I have flexibility in my work. The important thing is that as long as the job is done, it is not important how long I work. Therefore, I try to finish my tasks as fast as possible so that I can enjoy the remaining time to finish the project.

i used to do eight. right now it's around four hours, six at the most now that i am myLotting again. tee hee.
rest when you can. i know how hard it is to have a full time job (i used to have one, until i got fed up with bosses. i'm done with them.) so grab as much sleep as you can in order to restore your energy enough for another day of work, and of course, time with the family!

Thanks you are right you need to be fresh and ready to work. As I build up my online earnings I can start to think of reducing my other work hours. Thanks for the post.

10.30AM to 8PM is my working hour and i have got plenty of work and sometimes it may take till 9pm for me to complete my day's work. Luckily I have no works on the weekend and Saturday's/ sunday's are off for me and I am happy for that. As I live with my parents, I never have the problem for house cleaning, cooking my own food etc., and I am happy for that.

I don't have a job yet.
I was a post-graduate student until a few months ago, and now I am an unemployed housewife. I don't know if it would be right to consider it a full-time work since I'm very bad at houseworks. My house is a mess, and the only thing I like doing is cooking.
I hope to find a teaching job soon.
Happy myLotting

Good luck finding the job. I hate cleaning too. I can do it - I just hate it and always put it off if I can. I like to cook but hate to clean up after.

Humm... I work more than 12 hours a day, I start at 5am and end at 8pm and plus I have to take care my 16months old baby while im at work too. ( I know, im lucky to bring the baby to work with me)
I got home and I still work for house work, such as cooking and feed the kids. Until 10pm, then everything will end. My bed time :)... I think I work almost around the clock. I a bit sound crazy about it but I have been doing this for the past 5 years and that's cuz I dont have my parents here with me to help with kids. I have only myself and my husband only. And I hope one day when they get older then they know how much time and how hard we have been done to them... :).
But if you just talking about regular job, I work 14 hours a day.

Actually I am supposed to work for eight hours a day at office. I live in a hostel. So, I don't have to do any work there. I have a maid to clean my room and cook food for me. Even though it is eight hours at work, I usually end up working for eight and half hours to nine hours a days. We are allowed to take one hour for lunch break, but we usually end up taking only half an hour for it.

Same happens to me at lunch. I get an hour but rarely take more than a half hour or any at all. Most times I just eat at my desk while working.
I find I do feel better if I get outside at least once during the day. The fresh air and sunshine help to recharge me - but - then I don't feel like going back :)

WOW I am ashamed after reading everyone's post here. I will never complain again about my hours. I work 5 days a week from 9 to 5 and usually on Fridays leave at 2 or 3 but still get paid for a full day. I get a 1/2 hour lunch break each day. I never have to work weekends as our office is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Working these hours is giving me some great time to build up my online presence and helps me really get my online earnings establshed

I work 24/7 a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year! I'm a housewife that's why. Haha. But on the side, I do teach privately. And this I do 2-3 hours daily weekdays. I usually get only 7 hours of sleep every night. I try to catch up on my sleep weekends.

Hi TrvlArrngr,
I work 9 hours a day 5 days everyweek, as I was just get this job for about 3 weeks, I was busy everyday, not only do those things that I supposed to do, but also do those things that other people regularly hand to me, but I kinda enjoy that busy life cause last job I work is too easy that I dont always have much to do, so I changed my work.

I work from 9 to 6 a day and hardly take a 10 minute break for lunch. Plus I have to work weekends sometimes. Earlier I used to work at an institute where I had to work on Sundays and Mondays would be my weekends. But I never got to be used to that because Sunday really felt like a Sunday. I am relieved now that I have joined a better workplace, where I can enjoy most Sundays.

I work 7 hours a day, 6 days a week. I just have one day for a rest a week. Though there are still many spare times after a day's work, I feel tired.
In my daily work, I make some quotations and follow some purchase orders from other countries' customers, those work are just for my colleague in HK,I don't have the opportunity to contact our customers directly.
Maybe the work are repeatedly everyday.
