suggestions on what group/organization to join?

i am bored with my life. my daily routine is home to work and work to home (both of which i would probably spend my time with my computer) except for weekends where i will go to church sometimes. i want to get involved in something. i feel like i don't have a drive anymore to live. just now i'm asking myself what's there to live for? i want to help/reach out to people. i heard there are lots of organizations out there. any suggestions? recommendations? and any idea how to join?
