It sounds as if maybe someone has disappointed you. We are all human and fall short. I choose to love people and not worry about what they return, then I am not disappointed when they don't live up to my expectations. There is only one that has perfect love and He is not human. I think that with friends love means to try to think the best of friends. With a mate the same thing but there are many times when that mate says or does something that cuts very deep. We always have to option to not accept abuse and to forgive.
