How long does it take?

Email - You've got mail :)

It's Sunday, which generally means less email for me. But, between this site and Gather I still get a lot of email on the weekends. This morning was rather speedy, it only took me an hour and a half to sift through the emails and answer things that I thought I should, or could, answer. And that was just my primary email address. I still have some others to go through, but most of that is either spam or Yahoo Groups stuff. How long, on average, does it take you to go through your email every morning??

About an hour or so. I try not to let my butt fall asleep, that's too long on the web.

It usually takes me about fifteen minutes to go through all my emails, the reason being that I usually get a lot of spam. You see I dont have spam guard on and as a result i get a lot of unsolicited emails

I don't use spam filters on any of my email places because they always seem to put the good stuff in there, like mylot comments and posts of friends, and the spam gets directly to the mailbox

not usually too long. Maybe about a half hour or so while I wake up and have coffee. Then I check it a couple of times thru the day just so it doesn't pile up.

I try to look at most of it that requires little to no thinking while having my first cup or two of coffee too. Then, after I am more awake I can deal with the other stuff

I find that i have the same amount of emails what ever the day of the week is.I always tend to do the deleting first of all the emails that are junk then i do the emails from Mylot but i do not do my emails now until the afternoon as i find by then most of the bulk load of emails have come through. It tends to take me over two hours.Happy Mylotting.

Email can be time consuming I usually go through first to see if any of my kids have sent me mail, after that I can just take things as they appear in the email box and answer or delete as necessary

If I am going to read all my messages per day, It would take me some minutes... I also receive messages from Mylot, Gather, Chicken Soup, etc... I also receive lots of spam messages which are annoying me a lot.

I like spam only because I know as soon as I see one that it is junk and can be deleted without reading

That's probably a good thing. All that email takes all your time so you don't have too much time to get into mischief

Hey fwidman! I don't know what's going on here this weekend! I usually have almost nothing to respond to on mylot and I sure seem to have more emails than usual! But, we know that this is definitely not the usual weekend here! Since mylot admins seem to have decided to take a vacation or something all hell has broken loose and it is totally troll insanity and more! So I guess hence the extra emails? This is the only site that I deal with! I have no interest in doing more than this one!lol I have another account, but it has nothing to do with a forum!

The trolls ( or maybe it's the same person?) are running rampant this weekend that's for sure. The other site I joined as a referral for a mylot friend and I am still just seeibng how things go over there

It depends on how much email I have and how long it has been since I checked it. My primary account doesn't take too long because it is the one that family and friends have to contact me with. I have a secondary one that generally gets more email and some days, it takes me an hour or two to go through it all. Since I normally check my email accounts once every few days, things tend to get piled up.

I check my email quite a few times during the day, as I never know when I'll get an email from my kids
