I was looking at our line up for the fair this year and there are some oldies on their touring the fair circuit. Do you believe these groups that have had no knew records and have been singing the same songs for 30 some-ot years should still be touring?

I don't know what groups these are - but all musos need to work, and I guess these gigs are all they can get. I'd rather have live music I'd heard before, than no music at all! In the 101 club, London, there's 'oldies' from the 40s and 50s every week. People dress up and dance to all the old stuff - with a live band in attendance. Jazz, swing and jive standards, all of it brilliant. Average age of the dancers enjoying it? 25!

True but some are too old as they cannot sing anymore because their voices have failed. They are actually pretty sad.

Too true. I mean, these guys are GOOD - retro, but good! I know what you mean. Here, we have amateurs who were, like, average 50 years ago - when I hear them sing today I get worried. I think, "God, I do hope you've taken your medication!" vrrrrrrrribrrrrrato ...

It really depends on how the songs are played. How they do their songs. The way they play theirs songs. Though should be bad though for most that are still means people are still listening to them. That they should do good or at least somewhat good.

Of course. Many people still enjoy this music, whether it is new or not. I am glad that there are touring musicians out there who sing *my* kind of music.
