Is there a direct link between education and income, education and opportunity?

Is this a fact of life? Cannot we "Beat this system"? If we ignore it will we suffer as a result? Or if we accept, do this fact of life benefit us? People say, "More education equals more income and more varied career options and opportunities. Means according to them, getting a high school diploma, then getting career training, then getting a career diploma or degree, we can earn much MORE than without diplomas. I don't think so. Many uneducated people succeeded in their lives with their talent in business and earn millions of income. Nowadays creativity is needed in any field we want to succeed not the degrees. I am sure all my friends here accept my opinion.
