Freelance Writing- Where to go?

United States
July 12, 2009 5:50pm CST
Well- I am back to my old stand-by (my lot- of course) to seek help in my search for finding freelance writing jobs/ opportunities. I have in the past shared the sites I have used with others and those include guru, elance, and textbroker- now I am looking for others. If any here can help- I am willing to listen and learn. But, I am not willing to pay for information or pay for access to information. Also in keeping with the standards of mylot- no links please. Thanks in advance for your help and information- I look forward to your suggestions and answers.

Constant content is good - also I write for Direct Freelance although I do have to pay a small sub for the priviledge.

Freelance writing is one of my favorite hobbies too. Yes, there a number of programs on the internet where one can write. One of the programs I am writing for these days is "Review Stream". This is a place where one can write brief reviews about a variety of topics, things one comes across in one's day-to-day activities, movies, restaurants, hotels, media, websites, etc. I have been writing reviews there and have been paid regularly. So, you might want to take a look at this program. Enjoy writing !

I am looking into Review Stream- it seems pretty interesting. Thanks for the info and I will keep you posted. The only thing that I am a little leary of is the $50 payout- which can be difficult to obtain especially if the site shuts down out of nowhere. Can I ask how long you have been a member and what your payout look like (ie how long it took to obtain, etc... Thanks again and happy mylotting!

Try textbroker too. I just joined last month already received a payment of just over one hundred dollars. You get to choose assignments based on your writing rating. They rate you and give your rating. Good luck to you!

But textbroker is only available to US residents. That is quite sad for those who are living outside of US but looking for a good freelance writing opportunity. I hope to find more alternatives as suggestions to other people.

I really like Helium. If you haven't joined, let me know. I can send you the link for it. They have writing you can do on their site, but they also have other freelance options.
