Do your MyLot friends inspire you? How?

They inspire me in many ways. At work we do a public service and decorate a window downtown about every other month. I wanted something unique and patriotic. A MyLot friend posted about changing her tattoo, and showed a picture. I adapted it for our window dressing. It was a dove, colored like the United States flag. I admit I am no artist, but it turned out really cute. I drew it, and the clients painted it with my supervision. Tell me how your MyLot friends inspire you.( I hope I got the right picture)

Many people who do crafts inspire me to keep going with crafts. Wild food people inspire me to keep going and to learn about new wild foods.
I think the window dressing project is neat! Great picture.

Oh yes, I do find a lot of my friends here inspire me. Sometimes in tangable ways, like in the crafts sections, or cooking, recipes, or with problems. Other times though, it's often encouragement, hope, faith, and friendship. There's a whole lot of really nice people here, and many of us have been here from almost the beginning of the site. Although I have not personally met my online friends, I do feel like they're a part of my friendship family and are chock full of good ideas, and new ways of looking at things. That sounds neat what you did for that window dressing. How cool is it that you got the idea for handling the project from looking at a friends tattoo?! T'was a clever adaptation!

Ahhhhhh, NOW I see the picture. How'd I miss that?!? Lol. Must have read all the posts before the page got done loading up. (either that or an old age moment hehehe) Thanks for pointing it out. That came out really cute. I think you're right, you were one of the first friends I made here. Geez, I've really enjoyed this site. Making new friends is the best part, and of course the spare bucks here and there are appreciated too ;-)

It is fun to gather ideas from others. All of us together are stronger and better than going it alone. That is why I loved the picture that my friend inspired.

They do inspire me. Several times a week there is some subject matter in a discussion that inspires me to think of things I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I think this is a very good thing. I enjoy this very much. I think it is a positive way to enlighten yourself. That sounds like a cool picture too.

That sentence did not make sense. I hate it when my photos do not upload. Probably user error, of course. There is a picture after my first response, because I did not get it uploaded properly the first time. Here is a link to another view of the same thing.http://www.mylot.com/w/image/2215747.aspx

Yes..yes! So many of you inspire me...just by your enthusiasm, and zest for life, your ability to meet diversity, and troubles "head-on"! The intelligence and thought provoking discussions...give me pause for thought lots of days! Even the challenge of how to dispel the "trolls" on this site!
Congratulations on your "Dove"....did you take pics? The Dove is my second favourite bird...to the Almighty Blue Heron and it's patience! Hope your summer is spectacular...mine is FAR TOO hectic. Cheers!

Boy...did you make my morning! I think of you all often, but my summer is so crazy, this is my first morning off in 43 days....so really the first morning in that time that I have had a chance to respond to all your wonderful discussions! Normally I would have been at work for 35 minutes already (4:30 a.m.) and am usually finishing around 7 at nite.....so summer has been eat, sleep, work...eat, sleep work! The birds have just started singing, and the "cuppa" tastes sooooo much better knowing that I can sit here and enjoy it! Truly "Thank You" for the nice thoughts! Have a spectacular day...dear friend! Cheers! What time is it at your "abode?" It's 5:07 here!

jUST MAKING FRIENDS ON HERE HAS inspired me. It's odd how close u can feel toward some of them. U learn about new places that u would never know about if u hadn't made friends, u learn about customs & things thet do, it's just a great place to be. Mylot is as much a part of my day now as all of my other normal routines. I would hate to have to do w/out it.

What a lovely topic for discussion. Whoever has begun this discussion, must be complemented for generating truly unique initiative which will bring out the best from all thos ewho take part.
Aspiration, inspiration and motivation are three forces within us humans. There could be a third, but lesser, force of money. But it can be easily clubbed with any of the former three. Whilst aspiration developes over time slowly imbibed/nurtured within by one's surroundings, family, peers and constant recordings in one's mind, Inspiration may often happen suddenly or in an instant. You take a fall from a horseback, and work with even greater vigour to ensure correct posrue, right hold and accurate match with the ride's movements. Mylot friend definitely can be one important source of not only inspiration but very potent source of developing aspirations.
Then what about Motivation?
It has been proved by the psychologists and doctors engaged in the pursuit of deeper research of human psyche, that motivation comes almost entirely from within. The fire in one's belly constantly urges one to excel or attain a particular Goal. What Mr Michael Phels has said on winning 8 Golds at 2009 Olympics, is the truth - What ever you set your sight on, you can accomplish that.
Can we have more views from Mylot friends, please.

Mostly, they inspire me by the way they handle everyday trials. I have a couple of friends who are going through a lot of crap right now and they still maintain their sense of humor and avoid dwelling on their misery. I admire that!

this is the very exciting time?but i have not such feeling untill now, though i have no such long time just the same as you, i think you have stayed for a long time, you had posted the page of 18145,such post pages is shown that you had written so many pages in the maylots com,i think that so exciting time of you is very seldom for you, because you had been a very impression of such this things.i have no such exciting thing with me, but i have a plain and normal heart to communicate with the other people, and the heart of mine can be felt as pleasure and peace and calm, i said that this heart is not the same as the heart that is felt in the chaose of the city, and a lot of things around you, this feeling is very quiet and peaceful for me. i like this feeling when i was typing the writing words and the mood of the heart is smooth as flowing water. i just like this feeling such like this.

I don't see that would inspire me too much compare to my friends in real life and my wife and family. They give lots of support. But...
Mylot friends do help but openning my mind with other options that I may not see.
I enjoy reading mylot friends thoughts about things because I am a person that may think he has great common sense and can figure basic things out but little do I know that people can experience it and explain it in better words than I can.
I do enjoy a fine piece of reading
godbless

I haven't been member that long to get to know anyone yet. I will have to say that the few discussions that I have started I have gotten some real nice responses. I post an question for a recipe that I had been looking for and in a few minutes I had found the one I was looking for. That was very helpful and with a quick response. I think them very much for that.
