apparently this place is teaching russians english through music.. even britney spears! the link above shows them all singing which is hilarious because they have like an accordion and they are a bunch of senior citizens singing "hit me baby one more time"
its a cool way to learn english though.. just odd for that song with that age group lol

That is definitely an interesting way to leearn a new language. I know that there are certain languages that I really like, and although I still don't understand the language, a number of songs' lyrics are becoming quite familliar to me. There is a Croatian station that I like where I am starting to know the lyrics to commonly played songs on that station.

i think its a great idea but i would want to know the meaning behind the words if i was singing along (which of course they are doing but i mean if i were singing along to a cd or radio etc) because i would wanna know if i was saying something stupid or threatening lol.. it would be my luck i would repeat it or sing it in front of some one that understood it and i get my bum kicked

Oh now that is just too funny!! 
Songs really do help out though. I am trying to learn German and listening to Rammstein and Megaherz has been a real help. It just sticks in your head better.
