Only Naturally!

The bliss of watching TV programmes has led one to not only admire the beauty of nature and the numerous lessons conveyed, many a time the lesson may be more precious than the one intended to be conveyed.
Usually I watch National Geographic or the Discovery channels for the sheer quality, hardwork and intent latent there-in.
On one such occasion it was a programme on a man on a mission to find the largest serpent. His pursuit took him to thick jungles and water channels. While riding boat through one large water channel, he noticed something floating on water surface. Drawing closer, he pulled it out of water in one quick swipe. During the process, he felt that he was bitten in his finger. It was a water snake (thankfully) that had got entangled in a piece of steel fishing net and was badly bruised. The snake hAd bitten the man, only naturally. The good samaritan, un-entangled the animal, only naturally; studied the beautiful speciman and released into the flowing water.
I was instantaneously reminded of a story I had heard in childhood, many times over of a sage, who while doing his morning Prayers, had been bitten several times by a drowing scorpion, but did not let the scorpion die of drowning and pulled it out to safety of the dry shore.
It, dear friends, is only natural that we help those in need, even if they tend to do us some harm, as per their nature. It may sound foolish, in these dog eat dog times. Yet, if we seriously view the raison de etre of our having been born, we will understand that we have been given this one life not only to do good unto ourselves, but to extend the same goodness with even greater vigour, unto others; only naturally.
I have many stories, which potently bring to fore the significance of extending a helping hand unto others. Even management experts have accepted this and propounded theories on this aspect of human nature.
Let us all therefore, do what is only natural to us, even in this selfish world.
Thanks.
