I have read the novel as well as seen the movie but the movie is not as interesting and captivating as the novel. The twists and plots in the book seem so interesting but not good as in the movie. Moreover, the movie doesnot match the standards as compared to the book.though the atr, rituals and the locations in the movie are so beautiful and interesting but on the whole the movie lacks interest as compared to the novel
------------How do u compare movie and the book.......

I find how the movie was made as quite disappointing as it didn't match the standards set especially of those who have read the book. Robert Langdon and Vittoria lack chemistry in the movie compared to how they seem to get close to each other in the book. I also didn't like the assassin in the movie. The one in the book is so traditional and has a spirit of a warrior while the one in the movie was like an ordinary hired to kill killer. What I didn't like most was how the movie omitted the best parts of the movie and that would be the confrontation between the camerlengo and Robert. There's so much in the book that the movie wasn't able to reveal.

Hi myLotters!
I haven't read the book but I love the twist of the movie. So I believe I should read the book because of what I've read from your comments that the book is the best when it comes to Dan Brown's Angels and Demons and not the movie. But maybe you could give me a brief response on this query: Who really was the culprit of all the mysteries of the Illuminati - was it the guy played by Ewan McGregor? Why was he brave enough to do such a bad thing when the pope was his "father"? And who do you think murdered the pope??? Was it his "son"?
Thank you for your response.
Happy MyLotting.

The camerlengo was the pope's son. The camerlengo killed the pope. He didn't know that the pope was his father. He killed the pope because the pope supported the anti matter which is an invention of the scientist/alchemists. What the camerlengo is that he's a product of science himself, he was a test tube baby that's why the pope believed in science.
