I have been had a rabbit once and I almost died. My mom brought TWO RABBIT home one day from work because the lady did not want them anymore. So my mom THOUGHT they were cute and brought them home for my 4 siblings to see. They were GIGANTIC and fairly scary since I thought rabbits were to be small, soft and cuddly. Not to mention they looked as if they were going to hurt me if I let them out of their cages. From that day forward I never really liked rabbits. Even small ones. they scare me to death.

i think they are not. But once a mother rabbit gives birth to baby rabbits, don't even try to touch those little ones. the mother rabbit will defintely kill them. I don't really know the real reason why but I really experienced and seen it.

I have a pet rabbit, a Dutch breed named Killa! Now, Killa is no Killer, though he does bite, scratch and kick. He is very small, though not at all cuddly. He has his moments when he will let you hug and kiss him, but those are few and far between. But he is very mild mannered with children. I have a four year old neice and he doesn't harm her at all (my teen neices 16&18 are a different story). Animals, just like people, have varied personalities. Killa may be the exception. I know plenty of people who have and have had rabbits that don't behave like mine. Also, larger rabbits, in my experience, are far less hostile than smaller ones. I guess they aren't as afraid. Small rabbits are at the VERY bottom of the food chain-- they are afraid of EVERYTHING!

Some rabbits are very large, but I've found that actually the small ones tend to be more aggressive in general. I used to foster rabbits for a rabbit rescue, and those Netherland dwarfs were just downright vicious and so territorial!
Currently I have two of my own rabbits. A 14 year old sweetie and then a younger brattier rabbit, but she's cute too. My 14 year old is only a little under 5 pounds (he used to be more muscular when he was younger). My younger rabbit is a bit bigger, a bit over 6 pounds but she looks a lot larger since she is so much more furry.

I used to have rabbits, they are really nice, very peaceful... they can hurt, but only when they have no choice. when someone picks them up by the ears and isn't careful they can scratch arm that is holding the ears, the lesson is "don't pick them up by the ears" lol
rabbits can be really big, but then... my cats are huge too... granted they are wild cats, but really cats can hurt you much more then rabbits...
