I love nothing better than a nice ice cold drink of water. I prefer it to pop and juice and pretty much all other drinks. Where I grew up we had good clean tap water. We would go on vacation and really appreciate the water from home when we returned. My hubby on the other hand is a juice junky. He loves juice and rarely drinks water if there is a choice. My best friend who grew up in the same city as me drinks water first too so I asked about her hubby and he drinks coke. My hubby grew up in a dry place where water ran out each summer and turned to black goo. I figure that is why he isn't a water drinker. How about you? Did you have good water in your hometown? What is your fvorite drink now and do you think it is because of the tap water in your city?

I love to drink water. Unfortunately the tap water in our town has gone downhill. It used to be the best around, I think is is because of the pipes not the actual water that is has an odd taste. I still cook with it and all that. I usually drink bottled water, or go to a spring not far from me and fill jugs, it's free.
I can remember when I was younger my grandparents would come over and at least once a week they would fill jugs with water from our tap. They only lived 5 miles away but their water source was different than ours.
I also enjoy diet coke, milk, juice and lemon juice in water w no sugar.
Blessed be,
Forest Moon

Oh yes the spring water is excellent. I am going camping at the place where the spring is. It's called Mt. Blue Springs, located in Hingham, Ma. at Wompatuck State Park. I can't wait as I love camping. I am going alone... ahh so peaceful

I am a water-drinker too. I drink water all along the day, may be about a litre a day. Drinking water definitely cleanses the body. As a supplement to that, I like drinking some juices. Orange juice and apple juice are my favorites. I believe in the health value of the juices.

I happen to be drinking water right now! I don't know if it's my favorite drink, but I probably drink water more often than I drink any other drink. I grew up in the desert, so we imported our water from other parts of the country.

For me, the tap water here tastes really bad. It tastes like it has a metallicky aftertaste or something, so when i drink water i normally get bottled water. When im pregant, i really like super cold water. Ill put my bottled water in the freezer, and wait until it turns into a slushy, and then drink it. I dont know why, but i just love chewing on ice when im pregnant. It feels like the best thing ever oddly enough. But i also really love chocolate milk. My mom bought me one the other day, and it was a big one, like a one liter or something along those lines, and i drank the whole thing in about a minute. I used to get them all the time when i was still in school, but its like an awesome treat to have now because i never get it anymore.

I agree as it depends not only on treatment but also on the way it is stored. Sometimes the bottled water would taste bad if it is cold then heated depending on the container. I think the plastic is not good as it is affected by heat and part of it - I'm sure - is transfered to water when it is affected by heat (high level) or left in the sun for a long time.

We have decent water, but I'm not a big water drinker whatsoever. I prefer soda and juice to water. To me, water is too plain and has no flavor. I do use flavoring for my water, that is the only way that I can drink it unless I'm really thirsty like after working out.

I drink water, big time! May be 1.5 liters a day or so. Its primarily due to the fact that since the time I was a child, my dad used to keep nagging me and my sis to drink water, saying it will flush out all the toxins from the body.So you will always find a bottle of water on my desk and I keep sipping water through the day.
I lived in a place where we got nice clean water too.
For me nothing can quench thirst like water. If I do drink something else to quench thirst, I feel even more thirsty and need to drink water!

I like to drink water....that is one of the useful components in human life. No water, I don't think we can survive.I am so lucky that the place I am staying never have any distruption in the water supply.I never drink tap water directly, I will boil it in the kettle first and that's to make sure the water is clean and ready to be drink.Especially during hot weather, drinking cold water is the best...feel refreshing.

No liquid in the world is as tasty as water. Because when we are thirsty, if we drink other juices just the stomach will be filled but our problem remains the same we'll feel thirsty. Till you drink water your thirst will not be leaving you from suffering. In another way, drinking a good quantity of water a day, like some 2 to 3 liters, we can maintain good health. That our kidneys need much water to be cleaned and work efficiently.

Me too. When I am thirsty, water is the only thing I'll drink. The tap water here in Guelph is really good. Also, I'm just down the street from my grandparents old house, now owned by my Aunt and Uncle. That house has a well, so even if I didn't like the city water, I could go there anytime I wanted, and get well water.

hello whywiki,
I'm a water drinker too just like you do. It's the best and much more healthy. Aside from that, I love to drink tea too. Soft drinks or soda is not my type. For they are sweet and not good to our health. I can drink more than 8 glasses of water a day.
Indeed, we have a good water here in our hometown.

Hey,
Yea my mother doesn't really buy many other types of drink, especially soft drinks because they are really quite bad for your teeth and health. I personally try and drink at least 1 litre of water per day as the minimum. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

As you said, I too had good clean tap water in my hometown. I loved water as my first option when I'm thisty. Even if I drank juice or carbonated drink, I still want to drink water to squish my thirst. Now I'm living far away from home, and here the tap water is 'BROWN'!! Lucky, there's a well here and the water is clean as crystal but I don't want to take the risk, so I boil the water before I drink!

We have good tap water. I like to drink boiled water though.
I dont mind tap water if I am too lazy to boil the water.
My favourite drink is diet coke now.
