Should the US go after Cheney even if it risk "tarnishing" our image?

Have we lost sight of our constitution? Why do want to dismiss its very purpose? How would this tarnish our image when the United States is supposed to be a role model to the world and stand for what is right and just? Why all these exceptions--no wonder nobody knows what to do!!

That depends on what you mean by "go after". If you mean spending taxpayer dollars on a fishing expedition to try and dig up dirt because he's unpopular than no. If you mean there is credible evidence that he broke the law and legal precedent for investigating than yes.

Wow. I am amazed that anybody asks questions like this... First of all, USA is nowhere near a role model for the world. In fact, it is seen by more countries as what type of culture to avoid. Secondly, yes we have lost sight of the contitution.

If he broke the law yes! I know it'll become a political nightmare. but it should be enforced, besides the Haters need more ammo! tdemex

Yes, they should! Just as they did with Nixon and others. Breaking the law is breaking the law, whatever your purpose. It would tarnish our reputation far more to let off a person simply because he had been VP at the time.
