Well I think you have had good luck by having vista, because I really hate it you have to accept lot of permisions

I would rather have to accept the permissions to the web site, then have them allow me to go into anything that may cause a virus. I don't mind that at all.

My parents have Windows Vista on their computers and they both hate it! My dad has the 64 bit version of Vista on his and it crashed the other day for like the 3rd time or so. I run Windows XP and I really like it. I don't have any experience with Windows 7 though. I'd like to try it sometime though!

I agree with you, when I was using Vista I really hate it, but now that I'm using XP I think is better.

Ew, Vista. I used to have XP on my earlier machine, and I liked that a lot more than the Vista on my current one. I know I absolutely hated Vista when I first started using it. It's been a year since then, though, and I've mostly gotten used to it now. Still, I prefer XP over Vista. My main problem with Vista was with its appearance. And stuff like annoying prompts and warnings. That, and the change to CTRL ALT DEL. To be fair, Vista has actually crashed less for me so far, but this is likely due only to the fact that my new computer is... well, newer.

I didn't even think of that, but the ctrl alt del thing drives me crazy. When my computer is freezing, I don't want to have to wait for a program to load in order to use it. The whole point of it is to pause and fix it without having to wait.

The computer I have right now runs Windows Vista and I hate it. I had a computer for years and years that ran Windows 2000 and it was my favorite out of everything I've used. The thing I hate about Windows Vista is that it tries to do everything for you. For someone who doesn't really know anything about computers, that might be helpful, but I got so used to using Windows 2000, where you have control over every little thing, and now Vista just annoys me. The next computer I get, however, will be a Mac. I'm seriously fed up with all Windows systems and their errors and crashing and slowness.

Yes I really hate vista too, but maybe while you buy another computer, why you don't use Linux?, it would be better I think

Waiting for Seven and hope it's good as the Beta releases, but still very happy with XP. It does all the work i have to do with. So i don't feel the needs to upgrade :)

Hey, I probably would recommend Windows 7 since in my opinion, it pretty much a combination of Windows XP, and Windows Vista in that it goes as fast as Windows XP and Windows Vista. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I hate Windows Vista. It has crashed on me 5 times and have had to restore my computer each time. I cant just take it anywhere because the place I got it closed down because of the economy. I would have much rather XP because I have never had this much trouble before.

I would deff. go with Windows 7! Vista has alot of lagging features on it and it sometimes very slow and unresponsive.. I am running Windows 7 on this computer now and love it so far.. Just bought a HP Laptop and it came preinstalled with Vista Home Premium and its pretty slow and got the free upgrade to Windows 7 in October!

Vista is good but still new. Windows XP is what I prefer, it has been out for a while now and it has SP3 which is a update package. It also runs the most software out there for PC's. Vista is getting there. I recommend Windows XP for its been out for a while now. Keep in mind Windows XP is not sold a retail stores, you have to get a laptop with it. Most laptops use Vista
