http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq1.aspx#6 In this page it is expressly stated that there could be more than 1 user in 1 computer.
Either your household member or anybody could log in here in mylot using 1 computer. Does it mean that we are allowed to use computers in internet cafe? Or if this is the case what are disadvantages if any.
Please share your information here!

Well there is no problem actually if some other members of the family sign up for mylot even if you are using the same IP address. The important thing is do not let them sign up under your referral. This will be considered as cheating. From time to time, I also log in to mylot using other computers, like internet cafes. There is no problem with that. Some of my postings were actually done in internet cafe computers.

Hello,
Right now I am using my own personal computer, not a public one. I don't really know if their are any disadvantages for using your MyLot account on a Public computer such as an Internet Cafe. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Hello, good to have your response here. Yes, I have a friend who uses the computer in internet cafe to join here in mylot.
This is allowed by mylot. And it is a great advantage i guess as compared to other programs who strictly prohibited more than one users in a computer.
All of your family members can join mylot in alternate in one computer. But best to use your personal computer.
If you own the computer you will not be bother of staying your account log in. You will not be bothered thinking of whether a phisher will access your account.

Hey!! Nice discussion...
Its my personal computer. from where, I work over here in mylot....I don't use public computers..You know, net cafes are not safe...They may have your password, either by a close circuit camera or by saving the cookies. This may lead to data theft. Its better to be alert because after all we earn from here. It's the same as banking.

I use my personal computer alone. It is clearly stated in the FAQ that more than one can spare the same computer but all should have separate paypal or egold accounts.I think it will be taken as cheating if they all sign up as a referral under you.It can be presumed that the same person starts multiple accounts and tries to earn more by means of referral earnings.Cheers!

Most of the time I am loggin in from office. So, I don't select the option public computer because it is my personal computer and nobody else will login using the same username and password to my machine. Also, I don't want to give all the time username and password whenever I want to log in to mylot.
During weekends I log in from some random internet cafes in the city. That time I tick the option public computer because I don't want any random person to access my mylot account. Also, I always make sure to delete the internet cookies, files, and history. Privacy of data is very important for me.

I do use my personal computer, and no one else is there to use it, so its not a thing for me.
But as you said your family members too wanna oin, for that i can say , you can make another account in same computer, but to be ona safe side, don't login simaltaneously for both accounts.
Rest lets see what other senior members have to say..

Hi, Zearah. Well, I use my private computer for mylotting!!
But, Using a public computer for mylotting means you can maintain multiple accounts with the same IP (as mylot does not recognize users on the basis of their IPs), as is generally the case in a cafe.
Ticking the public computer mark (while signing in) makes slight differences to the access to your account. Cookies are maintained only temporarily, that is, if you have to refresh the page (after a connection loss)or you want to restore the session after restarting your browser, you will have to re-enter your username and password. That is, interrupted access to your account will be disabled and IP locking is not enforced.
This decreases chances of unauthorized access to your account.
Happy Mylotting!!

personal computer.Ü i think we're allowed to use public computer. I get to see the word public computer when i'm about to log in my account. I think there's no disadvantage but there's a risk involved when you forget to log out your account in a public computer.

I have shared only on my family. Since I have four on family member, I just created five account (+ real administrator to recovery) on my home PC. Except my son, other member are in administrator but we have own password. I believed my wife is member on mylots. She never told me about their password Unless she face some problem to Login on my home PC.
Since Mylot is required a personal account that I consider as a private access. I will not open this in internet cafe. Mostly on Internet explorer by default, It can saved your login and password. After you are finished, Somebody else used same PC that he can open your account. Please be careful... Make sure you logoff or don't thick on saved password.

I am using my own personal laptop from home. I dont think I have ever used a public computer not for use of the internet anyway. I talk to frieds online and get on my lot on and off all day. It is something I enjoy doing I find it easier to type than to actualy talk to someone I dunno why that is for some reason I never thought about it till now lol
