My sister posted this on Facebook & I thought it might be fun to do it here & see what sort of weird responses this gets.
Here are the instructions:
Grab the book nearest to you right now.
Turn to page 56.
Find the 5th sentence.
Post this sentence as a response to this discussion.
Don't dig for your favourite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST book.
Ok to start off here is my sentence.
Violet flowers bring light and love into the environment.
Your turn now.

"Frex was drawn to him: Frex was always drawn to intensity"
I had already done this on facebook after seeing it on one of my friends pages, but i figured i would join in here too. You are right, the quote might sound boring to the person reading the book, but to those of us on the outside, not knowing what the book is, it is fun to use your imagination and try and put a story to that one line. Or you can turn it into a much more difficult version of "Name that Tune".....and try and see if you can guess the book by just that line.....though the probability of me being able to recognize a book by one random sentence from any book i had read is very very slim lol

"Taking a white card from his wallet, he waved it before the man's eyes."
Are you sure I can't pick a book? :X That sentence is kind of boring.
Technically, all of my books are in the same spot, but I picked the one that stuck out a little from the rest :P

It's not boring if you don't know what the book is. It makes you wonder what the white card is. I thought my sentence was a bit boring too, but I know what it is talking about.
