what is the star in the profile shows

While responding to the discussions ,i have found that the star is shown with the profile like 9 or 8 and when i keep mouse on this,it shows 80/100 or 90/100.what is this star,how to obtain it and what is the advantage of this star,since i am new to mylot,so i dont know how to get money through mylot.so,please tell me all about this STAR AND GIVE ME TIPS TO EARN MONEY FROM MYLOT. Moreover,i have started a number of discussions since yesterday but the earning is not shown in my profile.please clarify on this also

Even I want to know about the star. I am assuming it is for the best response but I am not very sure. Sometimes the stars have numbers like 7 or 8. Do they indicate the number of best responses??

Nope its not the number of best response. Infact its the rating given , after you reach your 100 th mark, as per the positive or negative rating given on your comments and discussions, by other mylotters. The higher is the number the more positive rating you got, and consequently the more you earn. So participate with healthy, meaningful and informative discussions, which is the motto behing mylot.

i also want to know about it...what is the advantage of star..how to improve the earnings...how to make your response best..??for each post how much cents i earn..??

It shows the reputation among the MyLotters. For example, how you view a comment posted or discussion started by another MyLotter? You give him up or down rating. So when one gets more positive ratings his rating will go up and it can go down if somebody gives him negative rating. It depends on the way you behave and discuss on MyLot. And your way of discussion, your correctness of spelling and other general things are also considered I guess. And being active improves your rating. I had a rating of 87/100 and was inactive for a week and then in a single day reduced to 68/100! I don't know why it happened. Well, and your rating will be shown only after you reach 100 posts of comments. Hope you get a higher rating and reputation on MyLot! Happy MyLotting!
