Depression

Recently i have been suffering from depression and anxiety as i lost my job due to certain health issues.Can you please help me or give me some tips how to beat depression and anxiety?I hope you all are with me.Add you tips please as i think i will fell good after getting all your responses.

Hi, everyone suffers from anxiety and depression along the way in life. There will be setbacks in everyone's life, it's just part and parcel of life. So to get out of it, you only need to think you can, because it will go away just as the pain will disappear after a while, when we fall as we learn how to walk when we were once a toddler. Think positive, knows that everybody goes through it, some face it a few times more, others less. Start doing things that you like and keep occupied with constructive works.

thats exactly my psychiatrist told me - engage yourself in work that occupies your brain so it doesn't become a devil's workshop.Thats why i have rejoined mylot after 2 years so that i can make some friends and discuss my problems with you.i am scared to go out because i get panic attacks and people laugh at me.They think i am crazy.

Actually, nobody is too free to notice too much about others. Everyone is self centred, which is why we get the feeling that others are looking/laughing at us. So tell yourself that and you will begin to feel less stress when you go out as you will begin to know that they are not watching you. It happened to me before. Next, after you scream out your troubles to the ocean or penned it down and dump it in the dustbin, I dump mine in mylot, ha!ha!, forget about it and start your mind on other interest/project. Remember, if you keep digging the same hole, it gets bigger and deeper. So turn your mind away from your trouble. Everything will be better. CHEER!!!

Try to get sunlight each day by going outside to a calm location you like. For a walk or to read or relax.

thank you so much hidden.yes i do that.my anxiety was so worse that i used to get panic attacks.i used to be very panicky.now i live alone and mylot is the only site i have turned to .i am going to a psychiatrist and currently under medication but they rarely or hardly help.Anyways thanks a lot again!
