I just finished reading "Paths of Glory' by Jeffrey Archer. It's based on a true story. I really liked it. I'm always amazed how these great writers can write on any subject, set in any location and in any time period without experiencing it first hand!!! Guess that's what makes them great. This book is the true story of the first man to atttempt to conquer Everest. Do read it if you get a hold of it. So, what's the latest book you've read??

I think I will try it one day since you like it so much. I was busy reading book on information and knowledge that I haven't read any novels or poems for a long time. Your words made me remind me how I was moved when I read novels last time. I remembered it is a book written by Zhang Ailing. I was busy working and ignored reading these days. thank you for your remind, through you are not intended to remind me. = )

Jeffrey would love you for that post! People here "love to hate" because he's a) a Tory MP b) a rich b@rstud and c) got sent down for tax evasion - I think he wrote that book when he was in the nick.
Hey, he was the only MP to ever get found out, and people are COMPLAINING?!
I quite like his stuff. My favourite was "Not a penny more, not a penny less". It was a kind of UK version of "The Sting" - very clever.
