Do you think the more knowledge you gain the more dissatisfied and saddened you become with life? Is Ignorance truly Bliss?

Though life will always have its ups and downs, why would we let our choices be affected by what's happening around us? Is it a better choice just to lie down and die just because life isn't fair? Though it humbles me the more I know about life (i.e. the more I know, the more I don't know) that wouldn't stop me from paving my own path. I'd rather be a beggar than a rich man's dog.

You touched on a good point, I never thought of it from that perspective.

I don't think the more knowledge you have, the more you will suffer. I personally think it's the other way around. For example, you're stranded on an island and you have no idea how to start a fire using sticks and stones. Obviously, that would cause suffering for you. It's much better to have more knowledge about the things that surrounds you. This would give you confidence to face any life trials.

I totally agree with you, I like reading books on current events, on history, on facts or like interacting with people which can enhance my knowledge, or watch a T.V show or even attend a function which increases my knowledge.
The fact that since last 2 or 3 years I find myself a little dissatisfied with the fact that i understand problems that my close one's do not and also that I have very little to share with others as they do not understand that aspect of problem at all. I normally find myself solving problems of others but there is no one to even understand my problems, i have people who listen, who try to understand but of no use.
I have started believing it for a fact that ignorance truly is a bliss.
