hello there fellow mylotters. i'm kinda new to mylot. since i'm a newbie there is something that's just bothering me. earlier, while i was writing responses to discussions i had a score (that's beside my name) of 63. however, i few minutes later i noticed that my score went down. it became 62 at first so i thought maybe i was just seeing things. then my score went down to 61 and then again i thought that maybe it was just a glitch in the system. however, after few minutes passed, my score again went down to 60. so i'm wondering, does mylot deduct scores? and if they do, what are these instances? i'd like to know so that i can prevent it from happening again. thank you!

If you made a post in a discussion that was removed, you post count will go down. The best bet is to stay out of discussions that may somehow violate the terms of service here and have a chance of being deleted. Stick to responding in discussions that won't be deleted. Also, if someone either removes their mylot account or has their account deleted, any discussions they have created are removed too so if you respnded in the discussion of some one who is no longer a mylot member, your response in that discussion is gone with the rest of the thread

Agreed! I used to spend time writing comments of letting them know a post was in violation but now I don't bother. I just avoid these discussions now.

That's a good point Xfahctor. Thanks I find this really helpful. I think it is a good way to respond in discussions that won't be deleted. Thanks

You should real the guidelines they want us to stick by and if you don't go by the guidelines they will deduct points by deleting your response or discussion. Also if it is a repeat discussion that was started already in the past they will delete the discussion as they want new ans fresh upcoming topics in discussion that should be talked about. Enjoy the rest of the day mylotting.

Yes they do! They may pay you for a post or a response, and afterward someone else might make a comment that violates the rules! Like posting a link, Mylot will then delete the entire discussion, and you lose! Someone could make a post and violate the rules and mylot doesn't catch it right away and then deletes it later then you lose. Just be careful and you should also know the rules to avoid this. tdemex

That may be, but I once had points deducted and I wasn't involved in the violation? I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time but hopefully the last! LOL! Thanks! tdemex

You may have posted in a discussion that got deleted. Or you were in violation yourself and it went down. It is best not to get into the controversial discussions, as they will cause your earnings and posts to go down. I have had my posts and earnings go down, and I never really worried about it because I figured I would get it back again. It is just best to read the guidelines, so that you know that what you can and can't do in here. I think we have all had our earnings and posts decreased, so you aren't the only one. Just do your best and you will see your earnings go up in no time. Good luck to you and happy mylotting,

Try to abide by the guidelines given so to avoid your responses or comment from being deleted. And make sure you search your topic of discussion before posting it out as the same topic will also be deleted causing you to lose your points and also earnings. Happy myLotting and good luck! Oh yeah, try to stay away from sensitive issues. :)

the main thing that you should concentrate on is your earnings and not the points.please donot post any referral links over here in any discussions or abuse anyone. The posts will be deleted and you will loose on earnings.

yes i do think mylot deduct points especially due to some errors and mistakes committed by most people, it seems mylot deducts money and point from common grammatical mistakes and sometimes i think mylot deducts money from writing capital letters in your sentences and some other little stuffs

Hi Tomjoad! You know if you try to observe it's not only a purely deductions sometimes there could be an addition too. Well maybe they have a standard or basis on doing this but to be safe better to avoid those violation that might result to deletion so you could be out from deduction. And check sometimes 'coz an increase might happen too.

Hi, I am also a new my lotter. Your discussion is quite interesting as I would like to also know if they really deduct points. I hope there is nothing of that sort going on. Anyway let us hope for the best.

Yes, they do when they delete either your discussions and responses that they believe to be a violation of rules and regulations. violating too many rules more than just responses and discussions can lead you to suspension or deletion of account. i know because it happened to me. so be careful what you say tomjoad.

I literally just joined a couple hours ago and this post has already helped me, it makes sense that they deduct your points for violating and deleting the discussion, I've only made a couple posts and definately want to avoid ur situation. I am personally glad to hear this. Keep it up ppl!
