I know I am a highly opinionated person. Especially here on myLot I tend to say what I think about things a lot. Some people may not like it but I will always be honest with what I think and feel about things. Now I do try to not hurt people's feelings but like I said I am highly opinionated!I have always been the kind of person especially when it comes to politics, who speaks her mind and tries to learn anything I can so I can understand both sides of an argument I am not going to say it gives me sympathy for something I don't agree with but hey at least I understand it.
So my question is this.... Has anyone ever gotten angry with you because you expressed an opinion they didn't like? Do you conisder yourself to be extremely opinionated?

exactly especially when it comes to politics and what we should or shouldn;t do in the middle east. unless you've been there dodging bullits for some here who "think they know what's going on there " they should put a sock in it. say what you believe, everyone has an opinion, and to express it is your right. 1 guy told me he was gonna hide under my bed , well bring it on bud. sempre fi -- u.s.m.c.- ooh rah.

Exactly, the only insight I have on the middle east comes from a marine friend of mine who was involved in the initial assualt on fallujah. he does not like Bush at all, but even he has said the liberal (keep in mind he is a liberal) media never shows all the good our soldiers have done over there and they are not going to because it doesn't fit their agenda! He does not want to go back but he said he knows he did good while he was there!
I have a long family lineage of people who have served in just about every war since the revolution! I am so proud of them and so proud of our fighting men and women! Which includes my husband as he was a Coastie who apprehended a known terrorist who was trying to enter our country through the port of VA! It appalls me the way some of the Americans who claim to "know" what is going on there treat soldiers! My husband, who like I said was US Coast Guard, actually had protestors at his base in Oregon and they jumped on his car and were shouting all kinds of profanities at him because he was in uniform heading to work. They were anti-war protestors, this happend back in maybe 2002. He knew what was going on for crying out loud he was at basic training for the CG right across the river from the twin towers when they were attacked! He vividly remembers seeing the smoke and hearing all the stories and seeing, eventually, the things that happend that day! So when Americans do something like this to a man or woman serving their country it is horrible! Not to mention they were at a COAST GUARD base which has very few members of its ranks in Iraq, since for them it is usually a volunteer basis that they go there! US Coast Guard's major job is protecting our coast lines so these people were either very confused or very stupid! You can take your pick there!

I am opinionated, but I do try to tone it down here, because I can see how rude I can come across. I am learning to control my big mouth as time goes by. I am more open to understand how other's feel about sensitive issues. I may be walking on egg shells for awhile, until I get used to the 'new me', Lol. Thanks for your time.
