Does anyone else have any difficulty driving with flip flops on? I always manage to somehow get part of it stuck under the brake and almost get in accidents and whatnot. Does anyone else have similar issues?

Please let me know the hours you are on the road, so that I can stay home at that time, lol. I usually wear close-toed shoes, or sandles (not Birkenstocks, as they are ugly). I'm not a risk taker when it comes to driving. Have a great day!

HAHA. Don't worry, I've since stopped wearing flip flops when I drive. Well, actually, when I drive and I'm wearing flip flops.. I usually just take them off and put them in the passangers seat - and drive bare foot. At least that way I can control how I'm driving and not be a danger to myself & everyone else.

I don't drive in flip-flops, nor in heels. I tried driving in my flips a couple times, many years ago. I learned the hard way that if you're trying to hit the brake real quick that they very well might slide...and they DO! I also had the front part (under the toes) get caught on the gas while I was trying to get to the brake pedal. Scared the beejeebers out of me lol. I decided I'd never do that again because it wasn't worth a possible accident. As for heels, they throw your ankle and feet at a different, unnatural, position, and I consider them just as bad for that reason. I keep a pair of flat slip-ons under the front seat and slip them on if my attire calls for other shoes.

Hi Maezee, I can't drive when I wear any sort of shoes . I must drive with bare feet; just don't know why. I usually wear slip-ons such as court shoes, sandals or any shoes that're easy to slip on and off. If I'm going somewhere in trainers, I've to wear them later. I did have that problem of shoes getting in the way of the brakes. So now I stuff them tightly under my seat.

I always drive in flip flops. But I just whip off the flip flops, and usually just drive barefoot. I feel like i have the most control when I am driving barefoot, like I can really get a grasp on the peddles.

No, I cant drive in flip flops. I wear my trainers for driving so its not unusual for me to have a couple of pairs of shoes in the car. At the moment, I have my work shoes and a pair of (mock) crocs.
