what is real happiness? are there people in this world without problems and difficulties? some people call themselves as the most happiest person in the world. i wonder if he/she is really happy inside? i m just curious because i really did have some exciting and happy moments in life. but i would not say the most happiest moment. i do see people having loads of problems yet smiling and laughing. on the other hand people who are so blessed in their lives would have depression. so what is real happiness according to you? i recently found an organization.. it is a non-profit and non-religious organization that teaches how to live life happier. i liked some of his teachings. i have never tried yoga so far. so i m considering to join there if it helps. you can also check out that website. ishafoundation.org. Has anyone heard about it. i find it very practical, but i m not so sure if i should try the yoga. if you have any opinions about it, please share it with me. also let me know if you feel that you are happy the way you are. and how do you feel about it? thanks

Everyone has hurdles they must get over in order to keep life going smoothly...but there are people who can go through life with very minimal stress and see problems as hurdles and not...well, problems. :)
When I accepted the optimistic lifestyle over a year ago I learned it begins with acceptance. You have to accept who you are...NO exceptions. You have to accept that you have what you have, don't have what you don't. You have to accept what you look like, who you are, and the mistakes you've made. You need to learn from all these things. If you know having something different would make you even happier--have to switch friends, careers, etc.--you don't complain. You DO IT.
An optimistic lifestyle usually goes alongside motivation, acceptance, the ability to help others and listen to them WHILE enjoying it, the ability to look at something, whether complex or simple, that most people would view as negative--and combat that by thinking of even more positives. I treat people better now that I'm optimistic...because treating people poorly tends to make yourself miserable.
You mentioned yoga. You do have to take care of yourself. The physical body has a direct link to the mental side of you. If you are physically sick, you can become mentally tired...yet if you think positively, it has been shown to speed up healing processes.
So many people simply don't believe you can truly be happy without having everything in the world, but you can. I'm not rich. I don't have the latest and greatest products and the most popular friends. Yet I love life more than most people ever will because I've learned how to be happy with it and find beauty in it no matter what. The skeptics are only missing out.
It takes a lot of work to get here...but once you do, you'll never look back. :)

You're welcome...but remember it does take work to be happy. It's like riding a bike...it's somewhat hard to figure out how to do it, but once you know how and you are used to it, you can pick up a bike at any other time in your life and ride it. After I started my optimistic thinking and lifestyle, I've been tested on it quite a few times. Good luck. :)

Since Filipinos are considered as one of the happiest people in the world. We actually belong to the third world countries and that means there are many poor people in our country. How is it that when we are faced with difficulty that we can still be happy despite of all the trials that we are facing? This is because we do not carry our problems with us where ever we go. When we are problematic, we can still manage to have fun, enjoy and be merry. I have also found happiness because I know that whenever I am in the middle of a very bad situation, I know the Lord will never leave me nor forsake me. That whatever happens, he will in someway help us surpass the trials that we are facing. I also believe that one way of being happy is to share whatever you have to those who are less fortunate. Like for example, we invited about 300 children and we fed them, gave them a surprise gift, then also provided them a mascot that they can enjoy. You know what the feeling is? It made me happy and I felt that it was the best thing that ever happened to my life.

Actually none is totally happy. But I believe , there are people who are just a bit more happy. I have seen people who have very less problems in life. So they can enjoy life more.It is true looking at life in different way help us. But there are situations when it difficult to look at life in happier way.

Yoga is calming. You should try it out. It helps you spiritually, mentally and physically. I find happiness in my family. At the end of the day, when the whole family gets together to have a nice warm dinner, that is the happiest of my life. Just as simple as that. :)

Happiness can have very different meanings to people, but for me it means having a healthy life, well paying job, and a decent sized house to live in. I would also like to be married but that will hopefully come later down the road eventually.

I think in my life, my family is what brings me happiness. I know for a lot of people money is what makes them happy, or their friends. For me, i dont really need money, and i dont have a lot of friends. If all i ever had in my life was my family, i would be okay. We could live in a shoebox on the corner, it doesnt matter to me, but the greatest thing to me is when i had an aweful day at work, and i come home to my husband and my daughter smiling at me. They always let you know things will always be okay. You can lose your job, your house, you could be completely broke, but your family is always there. Its nice.

Hi, I think we can't live without problems and difficulties, problems almost happen everyday, and I have work pressure everyday, everything seems not easy for me, but still not too bad, I live with my sister, and after work when I go home, we have dinner together, and we can talk about what happened today, I think this is my happiness time.

I think different people may have different ideas and attitude towards happiness. For one who is hungry, then having some food to eat is his happiness, for one who loves sunshine, seeing the sunshine is his happiness, for one who is not so healthy, having a healthy body is his happiness. I think for me, having love in life is my happiness.

Hi, i think TRUE happiness is contentment. You have to be able to accept things as they are because some times the more you try to do so many things at the same time, the more you are losing yourself in this busy world. I know that each person has their own shares of problems and it is the way you handle the problems that is important. As they say, the only constant thing in this world is CHANGE. You can be truly happy i think if you are happy with what you have and learned the process of living to the fullest by doing things that you enjoy and appreciate what little things God has provided. I always believe that God will not give you trials you cannot surpass. The reward in Heaven is awaiting those who truly believed. Happiness is always on hand to those who has a good heart. May you continue to have more blessings and may you truly find happiness.

The thing that gives me happiness in life are the people around me and my pet. I am happiest most when I am with my family and friends because they bright light to my life. Without them, I would look at life differently and feel like my world is bitter. I also would consider my dog, boyfriend and my dog, as an important aspect in my life since they give me the care and love that I need. I am most happy when I am also in good physical health. My happiness in centered on the Lord our God because he given me support through all these years. I was able to accomplish all that I want because of him and he has given me all the blessings in life. With everything I have, there is nothing more I can ask.

To find a purpose in life brings happiness. If you are comfortable and passionate about the path that you are taking in life then that would really bring lasting joy. Although at the end of the day what brings true happiness to me is having someone who truly loves me just the way I am and I am just grateful for this person.
